1) I know I've read somewhere about Genneva before but I was wondering whether is Genneva Sdn Bhd and Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd the same?

According to my research on BNM Company Investigation

Genneva Sdn Bhd's three board of director as quoted from BNM website

" The company and the directors of Genneva Sdn.Bhd., Chin Wai Leong, Ng Poh Weng and Marcus Yee Yuen Seng were charged at Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for an offence under Section 25(1) of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act (BAFIA) 1989."

As you see the three names are Chin Wai Leong , Ng Poh Weng and Marcus Yee Yuen Seng .

Ng Poh Weng popped up twice on Genneva Sdn Bhd and Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd while strangely , the surname of the other two directors from Genneva Sdn Bhd is identical to those in Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd , since our chinese names are used in official documents but was not published in Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd doc , could Marcus Yee be Sunny Yee (First Names could be changed? ) and Chin Wai Leong be William Chin ?

Finally

I've realized companies have the (M) in the middle before Sdn Bhd such as Leonardo (M) SDN BHD . Is Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd = Genneva (M) Sdn Bhd ? or is it Genneva Malaysia (M) Sdn Bhd ?

Hope you guys could give some theory , Im doing some background check before at all thinking of buying their gold .

Finally , i think both their address is in Kuchai Lama too (read somewhere)

Thats the second part , in the first part of my post,I was challenging Genneva Sdn Bhd and Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd on whether they are the same entity . Both are Malaysian companies with same directors.

What you are referring to is my second post about their branch in Singapore .

That's the same crap property developers employ, parent company opens many smaller Sdn Bhd companies.

If the smaller companies sink they just cut their losses and close shop. Parent company will continue doing business and repeat...

To me its same wine in different bottles

Im asking whether is it the same entity . Is Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd = Genneva (M) Sdn Bhd ?? or Genneva Malaysia (M) Sdn Bhd . For all we know , they could be playing with words .

Since director are charged with illegal deposit , then regardless of which company they run , both companies are still at risk right ?

It is the same lah. ROC will never allow 2 or more S/B starting with the same 1st name unless it has the written permission of the 1st company to allow a 2nd company to use the same 1st name.

If not brother/brother or father/son why bother give permission ??

cause i was reading another thread about genneva and one of their consultant wrote that Genneva Sdn Bhd and Genneva Malaysia are different entity . so its the same huh ?

Technically true. But misleadingly so.

If one company owes you money, you cannot sue the other.

But if one company is known to cheat people (and I'm not saying that it did, just a hypothetical if), and the bosses are the same, is there a high risk that the 2nd company will cheat people as well? Of course! Definitely. You shouldn't even have to ask this question.

As BigEarLobes said, the company names being so similar, you do not even have to check if the directors are the same or not. The companies are related, or otherwise ROC/SSM wouldn't have allowed the second company to be registered. If one company has such big problems, the other company (if they're innocent) should already be ready to prove why they are note related / split off long ago, etc. The onus would be on them.

You do not owe them anything to prove that they are related. If you feel a need to do so, I suspect it's because they're offering a very attractive deal. One that's too good to turn down. It's probably too good to be true as well.

yea I'm just helping my friend research this company . Never intended to buy their gold . Just curious how this company could go on

Genneva's system of business is a Ponzi MLM scheme. Maybe just a rm2 company ?

Where the fark can you find a company guarantee 1.5% return monthly, pay in cash direct bank in to your account, to survive in the long term ??? You think this is AH LONG S/B kah ?

It is possible for Genneva to do so. As they sell the gold price more higher to its member than international market price, and thats where the "bonus" comes from.

Whatever that guarantee return of 1.5% monthly return is sounds like a scam or it is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE !!

Hi minde, Genneva Sdn Bhd (GSB) is a separate entity from Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd (GMSB)

Under the law, one can't hold official positions till the charges are dropped. GMSB has a different board of directors.
