I'm a little confuse. If T-Bolt's frame can only fit in Deore LX's front derailleur, does it mean that I can only change to Shimano groupset regardless of what model (for example: Deore, XTR, or Saint)? Also in between these Shimano components, it can be mix and match right? (for example: Shimano XTR with Saint cranks)

Any good LBS recommended for buying new groupset?

It's always good to spend on good components, you'll only end up buying new frames sooner or later. The farthest I'll buy is I think the Deore XT groupset and maybe pair it with Saint cranks.

Mike, try to list out the price of components you're getting and then compare it with price of a new bike with decent price smile.gif
If you have a budget of around RM7k, try looking at Specialized Enduro thumbup.gif

I've considered that, but am having a hard time deciding AM, FR, or DH. From Specialized Pitch or Specialized SX, or Specialized Demo. I am Specialized fanboy, hehe.

I rode my friend's Enduro but it's size S since she's small and petite and the suspension feels so good. Nothing like the rest of four bar bikes that I've tried.

tongyam, sure will consider.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting into MTB, currently there are 2 options, is the frame (or brand only) worth of paying that much extra money compare to Exitway frame (& gear set)? Which one would you prefer?:

2012 Merida Matt40D (~RM1900)
-Alivio 9 speed

2012 Exitway KSX PRO (~RM1750)
-Frame: 6066 Alloy Hydroforming Butter
-Fork: Suntour XCT 100mm Travel(Lockout,preload)
-Cranks: Shimano Deore 3x10 24/32/42T
-Front Derailleur: Shimano Deore
-Rear Derailleur: Shimano XT 10 Speed
-Shifters: Shimano Deore
-Cassette : Shimano HG-62 11-34T 10 speeds
-Chain: Shimano HG54
-Rims: Mavic 117X Double Wall
-Tyre : Kenda Short Tracker DTC 26 x 2.1
-Brake: Tektro Draco Hydraulic Disc
-Handlebar: Exitway Alloy Riser Bar
-Stem: Alloy
-Saddle: WTB Speed V Pro Gel
-Seat Post: Alloy
-Seat Clamp: Aluminium QR

But compare on (roughly same) spec, would Exitway Team 512 seems more worth than Matt 40D for that price different?

Exitway Team 512 (or Team SL2) (~RM1350)
Frame: 6066 Alloy Hydroforming Tubing
Fork: Suntour XCT V2 120mm Travel(Lockout,preload)
Cranks: Suntour XCP PPF 44/32/22T
Front Derailleur: Shimano Alivio
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Alivio 9 Speed
Shifters: Shimano Alivio
Chain: KMC
Rims: Mavic 117X Double Wall
Hub :KT Seal Bearing 32H
Tyre : Kenda Kobra 26 x 2.0
Brake: Tektro Draco Hydraulic Disc
Handlebar: Exitway Alloy Riser Bar
Stem: Alloy
Saddle: WTB Pure V
Seat Post: Alloy
Seat Clamp: Aluminium QR

Thanks for your advice.
