Get the AMP if you're going for a DJ bike. Super short chainstays, horizontal dropouts for easy SS conversion, ISCG tabs, slack angles... Sweeeeeeetness!

QUOTE(GRexer @ Aug 29 2011, 12:19 AM)
Hi guys, newbie in this section. I just inherited an old MTB today. Not too sure what brand is it though but it's probably a generic unit with no front nor rear suspension.  Normal V-brakes,  has a set of Shimano shifters and derailleurs(3 x 6 speeds if not mistaken) and 26" x 2.0 tyres(which are shot).

Ok,  this bike hasn't been ridden for at least 5 years. it was kept indoors all the time with minimal heat.  So I was wondering if I need to get anything done other than changing the shot tyres? I'm from Puchong so I was wondering if there's any place to go that has a decent pricing. Also, I need a set of splash guards as well.

This will be used for normal commuting road riding at the moment. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Like what the guys say lo. Just get it serbised and ride. Take the time you have to learn and know about the bikes itself. By then you should be ready for an upgrade and would know what to get oledi. thumbup.gif
