3) To check boot time http://www.planetsoft.org/utils/BootTimer.exe
4) To reduce processes, open msconfig, on startup tab, disable stuff you don't need.
and do defrag..

1) 100% normal, itz checking the disk, sc say 2 me. itunes, wmplayer all same normal
2)users say, soo itz shud be ok.
3)boottimer
4) clean bloaties, and use cccleaner to clean registry, msconfig to reduce startup programs etc

1)it's normal cause sometimes it enable and disable the optical drive. When it does that it make sound.

2) Can download latest BIOS at Asus web. Just search for your laptop model and click download

3) Download BootTimer.

4) Follow the guide on the 1st page.

Yeah, that's the icon, when you run programs that need nVidia, that program will be listed on that icon when you hover it..

incase u takda tu icon yet..here

1)open start menu
2)type nvidia
3)select nvidia control panel
4)at the menu above.. press desktop
5)check all 3 options...
6)check in manage 3d settings.
7)make sure gpu is set to auto-select
8)exit it
9)open windows media player by right click, select nvidia gpu to run..
10)open video window.. drag a file into the windows media player
11)hover ur mouse icon over the taskbar icon.. square square shape de... is nvidia .....
12) see it got say 1 program using nvidia...
13)if got congratz ur gpu is wrking

You count using boottimer or own timer ?
mod what ? Mine around 17000k-19000k..
Use HWMonitor or OpenHardwareMonitor..
That one just made all the software listed there to use nVidia. Not all the program running at your computer at the moment will be using nVidia.
