so my N53SN fan mysteriously started vibrating one day.

replaced the whole fan unit for RM30 and
realised that it is so much better to clean the laptop and replace the fan unit.

now the idle temp over around 44-48'c and moderate usage 58'c
and the laptop is once again silent since i'm running ssd.

just a tip for those who wants to start afresh with your windows 10.
super quiet and like a new laptop once again.

btw those N53SN users here, u gotta change ur temp paste,
the stock paste caked up rock hard and I had to chip away with a flat screwdriver and a toothbrush  sweat.gif
signs that it is running efficient already.

what laptop model u using?

Try to recall what happen before the problem start.
(lightning strike? lately have some thunder)

ur power brick got light?
(do a test current for the plug 1st)

Worse come to worse is just change the power management card inside the laptop.

cannot recommend shops since most diagnostics and repair diy
*
No lightning strike wo, it just happen suddenly, the port loosen i think cos i have to adjust some angle thn only my ladtop can detect power, i m planning send it back to ASUS service centre, dunno how much it will cost me.

Dont wish to change it cos its an i7

if warranty send back
if no warranty get quote.
if u dare, take small clips and bend back
if u dont dare, go online ebay find the power board for your laptop and change the part.

the power board very easy to change, and since u know the problem ardy, its just a quick fix.

I send to a shop at lowyat for repair ad, but they say chipset error cost me rm250, dunno whether worth it or not

u did say u got a i7 setup.

take into account a new i7 machine and gst, I would say if the current laptop power is enough, just repair.

i dont trust repair shops, cuz many occasions they fix and = not fix and still get charged.
i also dont know how can a loose port = chipset error  laugh.gif cheating perhaps.
*
I dont trust them either, cos i have a bad experience from a shop at digital mall section 14, instead of reparing, he make my ladtop become more worse, the keyboard is spoil and the lcd connection also got problem,

but no choice lor, not really want to change a new ladtop, performance still good running, graphic is still good
