haha, wat i thinking is take out the dvd burner, put hdd there then at hdd slot put ssd. when on battery mode, disable the hdd for power saving xD

Haha bro, i am going to do this in a week time from now tongue.gif SSD + HDD makes a perfect combination i would say tongue.gif

price dropping more n more.

Bro, no doubt and please go for SSD! You wont regret thumbup.gif I tested SSD speed in my Dad's Toshiba Portege z930, the speed is damn fast !! Not to mention our N53SN processor is better than the i7 version in Portege Z930 icon_rolleyes.gif

ooh, so have to apply 1..

if not mistaken 260 AUD means RM 830 or so... laugh.gif
total would be 260 +140 + caddy which is arriving soon = 1280 ringgit.. doh.gif
if go for sshd then it would be 170 = RM 544

so the 736RM would be the price for performance. doh.gif

Better you fork out more for a better and more future proof SSD tongue.gif Even if you are upgrading laptop, just bring your SSD together tongue.gif hehe

p/s u can be a MOD either you apply it or they offer u smile.gif

cannot be mod tongue.gif  i spam too much in 2 threads only... doh.gif
see my rep mostly in android gnexus section

ssd is all good but i just worry my work will kill the lifespan faster.
since there is a limited r/w and i tend to do several GB drawings which will ultimately kill it
means have to change faster, hence im reluctant.

1 day i will just mini mini miinii mo! and choose laugh.gif

what do u mean bro? SSD will spoilt faster than HDD? hmm.gif

QUOTE(springfall @ May 1 2013, 12:10 PM)
bigger cap last longer cuz it can make more loops be4 returning on the same NAND flash
so lets say 60gb vs 256

60GB
-A>B>C▼
▲F<E<D
That will loop as many times as ur data is needed. but since the limited R/W then that would mean it spoils faster.

256GB
------A>B>C>D>E>F>G>H>I>J>K>L▼
▲Y<X<W<V<U<T<S<R<Q<P<O<N<M
It took more memory shifting of read/write sequence be4 returning back to A.

Therefore it will prolong the lifespan of the SSD.
BUT! this affects very little to those who do little computation. the only chunk that will be moving around that weight alot is the windows system drive.. For me is my layers after layers of drawings... doh.gif

Support sata 3 (and if not mistaken sata 3 v 6gbps too)
dun 4get ur wind partition also moving around laugh.gif
*
Thank you very much for the explanation bro! notworthy.gif So i guess i better save up for a 256gb SSD? hmm.gif
BTW, 8GB ram is not enough for you ? tongue.gif
