Firstly, HP3680 cannot be CISS in the fist place due to the internal body design. So I'm sure that the others meant.

For the HP702/22 - only possible way is via inject refilling IF possible.

Put it this way.. it's far more cheaper to extend the life of the cartridge rather then keep dishing out on Ori's that will cost your RM79.00 + RM57.00 per set

dear ezCISS..I m looking for IP3680..however i got several question:

1: As i knew, IP3680 used 4 Dye and 1 Pigment ink..can i simply change any of it? use all pigment or some pigment or vise versa?

2. Previously i used IP1980, there is scratch mark on the printed paper maybe from the roller. This happen to all type of photo paper i used except if I printed using Esyink A4 Rc Satin Photo Paper. I believe this also happen to all IP1980 since my friend also got the same problem. The question is, do this happen to IP3680?

3. IP1980 minimum droplet is 2pl..so, it is not suprising if i can see the dot/grainy in my printed paper. What can u say, in term of image quality between this two type of printer?

4. I used to set my photo to be 300dpi, using same color profile (photo and printer) before print..is it enough?

Too many questions la..hahaha ..sorry..i just need the clarification before i upgrade to IP3680 or get much better spec printer rather than buy twice.

1. For Dye Ink - use back Dye ink only. For Pigment ink - use Pigment ink OR Dye ink.

2. Printhead Scratch marks, Paper feed roller marks, or dotted pizza roller trails? From the info provided, I'm guessing the dotted pizza roller trails? Thus due to the paper thickness g/m2. Please ensure that the correct print and paper settings matches your paper type. Do use inkjet paper too, normal stationary simili paper can give funky outputs

3. It's not about picoliter (0.000000000001L), it's more related to the printer resolution capability. The resolution difference is far and apart comparing those 2 models.

4. 300dpi is sufficient for A4 size printing.

6. IP3680 is a 4 colour printer.. you can also look at Epson T60 which is a 6 colour photo printer.

Printer: Brother MFC-295CN (Newly bought 2 weeks)
CISS bought: LC-61
Problem1: Cannot detect one of my generic cart. BK in my case.
Solution1: Tape the cart ink indicator. Before that, make sure the printer ink sensor is not dirty or covered with spilled inks.
Problem 2: Yellow ink not printing.
Solution 2: Clean the print head by pressing the button MANUALLY. Generic cart does not clean as often as genuine i suppose.
Suggestion: Would be helpful if TS could gather all problems and their solution as a reference for all. Put under FAQ perhaps. Can save a lot of trouble for noobies like me.
Caution: Prepare lots of tissue and make sure to get dirty @@

Had problem with my Ciss. Told TS. Apparently he does not understand what is my problem and starts giving me basic instructions like how to install step by step slowly. I called him and explained my problem and he said I DID NOT installed properly.
So i have to go through the basic steps 1 by 1 again and again until he starts asking me other basics like did i install air filter etc.
I replied him told him i did all correctly according to standard instructions by him and by brother's website. At last he didn't reply me. May be he ran out of solutions
So i have to go through much hassle searching for solution myself. Luckily a friend of mine had the same situation. He solved it by taping the cart sensor with black tape. Surprising, it works!
What a relief for me after spending more than 3 hours "troubleshooting". Although the cart is filled with full ink, the printer just cannot detect the cart. So no choice but to trick the printer
Else, the printer will keep prompting me omgs such as "Cannot Detect BK", "Please install slowly", "Did you change BK?", "..." (i add this myself )

Pheww, 1st time using generic yet cause me so much trouble. But in terms of savings, recommended to all.
