Be it OLED or Crystal-LED they have self emitting pixel , and therefore susceptible to burn-in.

I do not think LCD will be replaced as a desktop monitor, but perhaps for HDTV.

At least 3 to 5 years to be commercially viable / affordable for ordinary home users....

not dead pixel lar.. its about uneven pixel aging.

LCD pixel doesnt emit light so they wont AGE .

Variations

Dark dot defects

Bright dot defects
