A very happy and prosperous new year fellow Defyans. Just came back from my Christmas balik kampung in Sabah and it was awesome. I used my Defy under the rain and even bring it to do some sweaty palm oil harvesting at my dads orchard and it survived! Love my Defy..
Anyways, Iv'e been reading about the WajkIUI ROM thingy and it seems to be good in battery life. I'm currently on Cm7.

So.... meaning installing the WajkIUI is as simply as doing the Install Zip from SD Card under recovery?

..And currently which version would you recommend?

I'm also on the ICS version. very cool. battery life is fantastic.

dude, stock froyo ROM? i mean, seriously? you don't know what you're missing man...CM7 or MIUI, best you ever get at the moment, until ICS/CM9 is done i guess

i very lazy to spend time to install custom roms. but i really look forward to getting a stable ics rom in the future though.

Yea I was shocked with the quick delivery.. Seller even said could be 3-4weeks.. But he airmailed it to me.. So 2 working days lo.. haha

im just fixed the battery charging stuck at ~85% even after 4 hours of charge..  now my battery percentage showed 99%

after my defy flash the UK version as 2.51 builds , can i install cyanogenmod ?? It always stuch at boot cyanogenmod logo ....

Razr Maxx is like a real deal man..forget about the camera or anything.

or you can also cover the exposed phone with cling film (or any plastic).
but the amount of time your touch screen and lcd are exposed is very short. so the chances of dust got stuck in there is minimal (unles you repair next to construction site, on the beach, or smoking while repairing  ). more time will be spent on unscrewing the casing and putting them back together.

but, dont touch the lcd screen with bare hand, nanti got fingerprint. hold the lcd on its sides.

Hey guys, guess what just happened to me today



phone was dusty as i was in workshop, gave it a rinse under a tap and after awhile condensation started to occur, then the screen starts dying, then the power key and volume keys stops responding. Calls, digitizer, vibration all working. After about an hour or so the screen and buttons started coming to life. Now the phone had been sent to PhoneWorx for the FIFTH time already in it's lifespan

1st time warranty faulty earpiece.
2nd time service broken screen
3rd time when i collect the phone there was tool marks on the bezel
4th time water entered from the earpiece
5th time water entered from god knows where on the bottom

Does anyone notice wajkiui 2.1.20 eats battery very fast? Fully charged at 1pm, now 9pm left with 20%...haiya...

I dont know. I am also surprised.

As usual wipe cache and dalvik cache, wipe batt stats at recovery , kill or uninstall unnecessary apps.

Anyone try Wiui 4? beta buggy stage but still f@cking awesonme

does any of you guys install antivirus in your defy? if yes, what brand? i am tempting to try avast (free) but dont know whether it will slow down the phone and use up even more battery.
