hey guys, quick question:

technically, my 3ds can connect to my house wifi, however, i if i use public wifi (1 utama, mid valley, pizza hut, whichever public wifi), my 3ds always has a connection error, either cannot sync or failed connection test...but the 3ds can detect a strong wifi signal...anyone experiencing this issue as well? any ways to fix this?

also, anyone experiencing this as well besides me?

public wifi always like this..happens to me a lot when i used my dsi b4..but i never really have tried using public wifi with my 3ds

anyway, kinda weird that laptops and i-phones can access these wifi but not the nintendo handhelds?o_O

i guess public wifi in malaysia still not good enuf

it all about diff routers and modem..some of those not compatible for nintendo wifi (maybe coz that wep something)

Also..I suspect there is something to do with the DNS.
I could not update my 3DS firmware earlier, it just says update failed lol, couldn't figure out why.

After changing the DNS to google DNS, it updated without problem.

diff routers and modems probably, but i still can't find one public wifi which is compatible with ninty's handheld...and to think that public wifi could be accessed with it...XD

as for dns issue, doubt so, if u mean firmware updating, cos it worked for you, so i have no comments there, however, i updated my firmware without google dns...=)

also, if u mean by just firmware updating, it means that you could already connect to the net, can you? however, you just can't get the firmware to dl, isn't it? but my point is that the 3ds just isn't able to access the net...XD (can't see online friends, web browse, etc)
