Crowd along Jalan Petaling heading towards Stadium Merdeka. FRU and barb wires were way in front.
Crowd heading back, as the policemen in front won't budge and give access to Stadium Merdeka. People were clapping and saying thanks to the Bar Council guys. Notice the yellow balloons to ganti the yellow shirt/pants/socks/shoes ban, quite ingenius if you ask me. Mood although serious, was pretty joyful as well. Perhaps it's just who we are - people who are happy being around others who share the same values as us.
Remember the heli? It was really useful in giving the police a bird's eye view of the whole situation. But then it started flying really low... People were booing, and some were waving and making peace signs.
Then it happened.
People were running away, and some didn't (those are the ones who got punched, kicked and arrested). Water cannons and tear gasses were used. And the heli was flying low not just to divert the attention, but also to prevent the gas from dispersing out of the area. The gas were kept low, and even after the whole thing, some places were still left with traces of the gas judging by the cough and pedih mata of the few people that were still around there.
This truck was conveniently parked near where few policemen were stationed with giant antennas and radio systems out of nowhere. My intellectual guess? Either those are radio jammers, or eavesdropper for phone/voice calls. I'm gonna dig more info on this later.
edit: someone pointed out that it is a mobile phone signal/range booster.
Had to meet a friend in need, so had to ditch the crowd and potential stories later. But what happened was the policemen were chasing after the people from Maybank all the way towards (and inside!) Tung Shin hospital.
This I believe are a seperate group, much like Patriot. Once the main rally started going haywire, these groups started forming and protesting for their own cause.

That's the bell the police used to signal about 10-30 seconds before tear gasses were fired.
Throngs of policemen heading back, probably after job well done. So I went towards bukit bintang, and I still see people being arrested.
Police disposing the chemical the proper way. After everything that had happened, this pic reminds me of men who can't control themselves and drizzle in their pants :-D
The water cannon chemical.
This was along Jalan Bukit Bintang, tepi the FRU trucks just started heading back. Not sure if he took part in the rally though. Businesses have started running again by the time I arrived around Lot10 area.
