Well, to each his own but I am in the opinion that style over substance is never a good thing. Especially if you are paying so much more for "style".  However, if that is how you roll, I am happy that you are happy.

Everyone buys a car to get from point A to point B. Buying a car with "substance" will get you there faster or gives you a more pleasurable drive. If you are not into cars and everything a great car has to offer, then I don't see a point in this discussion. Might as well just buy a cheap 2nd hand car.

In regardless of where we are in the world, a GTI will always be seen as a more complete car than the Roc especially if it is RM30k cheaper! If getting more glances and admiration from the layman floats your boat, then what have I got to say? To me, it is always better to get glances and admiration from people in the know than the average layman. For example, buy a Rolex to impress the layman (or ppl who knows nuts about watches) or buy a Panerai to impress those who are in the know. I certainly know where I want to belong.

I had to go to several dealers, even in early July most dealers didnt have stock for the GTi SE until March 2012.. Veemer OKR had a few booking slots open, I initially wanted CSG but no stock, had to settle for CW. Waiting is a pain!!
