Wow finally one good reply from a owner of a VW in Malaysia. I wonder what u paid them to have this kind of service  biggrin.gif
Aiks...no improvement at all over a year..terrible. No written complains to VGM about this?
*
Stop wasting your time to ccomplain at VGM...the useless hq didn't response to you and they will push it back to the dealer. They will just say busy with meeting ( I dont see any improvement).

Went there but end up you've to drive back your car to dealer. So what is the point of complain?!

At this time, quite hard to find one. Best to call the usual suspects like FA Wagen, Wearnes, Veemer or Amcorp Auto. Confirm with them and book a test drive time (if they have one available). Friend just booked his unit and the SA told him to expect delivery in April 2012  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

April 2012 ?! WOW ! very long man.... Which dealer ? shakehead.gif

practicality wise, i felt the 1.4 was nicely done, ample power, suspension not too stiff tongue.gif

but i do find the turbo lag a bit uncomfortable... forgot how the GTI felt like since it was 2 years ago but it was different from the CC... the CC have this sudden burst of acceleration sweat.gif
maybe different tuning cos the CC have 3 modes, not sure about the GTI... the SA told me that the 3 mode button can even change the suspension setup, serious or not...
anyway, didn't have chance to test till that extent cos ferrying family members behind tongue.gif
*
Continental car is like that ...not like japanese's turbo (fast response).
CC, GTI and Rocco also got 3 mode button as u mention which is Adaptive chassis control DCC
which allowed you to switch between confort, sports and normal smile.gif

QUOTE(CR9 @ Sep 28 2011, 11:19 PM)
drove the rocco 1.4 for a week already...much more 'sweet' and totally different experience compare to my previous ride (civic fd2) especially the handling and pick-up...plus its also quite a head-turner  tongue.gif

some small issue though..

- like from few previous comment, maybe issues on the low gear...quite difficult during traffic, need to familiarise and adapt myself...
- some squeaking sound from front left side when went over a hump or during turning (can only be heard when stereo turn off)

other than that all perfect  rclxms.gif

Welcome to vw family...
1. Slowly u will adapt to it...u need to aim "ngam-ngam" to press the pedal.
2. 1 of the rocco owner also experinces the same squeaking sound like your case (forgot his name)..just send your car to VW service centre. smile.gif

wow, good la man

my previous tank was racing, only managed 450 with 1 bar to go

my last tank was 97, 470 with 2 more bars to go, i suppose 97 works better with my car

the best part is, when i was on 95 last time, although acceleration is low ya, but i can clock more than 530 with 2 bar to go

funny le...

My bro's TSI can go up to 550-600km (at average speed)

QUOTE(SeraphimGecko @ Oct 7 2011, 07:01 PM)
When you guys say "I speed at 180km/h or 200km/h" do you mean you were speeding at 180km/h non-stop for > 1 hour ( say, from KL to JB/Penang ) or just reach that speed for maybe 5 to 10 mins then go back down to maybe 130km/h the rest of the way.

Coz, I have not heard of anyone I know speed all the way for 1 to 3 hours until reach destination...If non-stop then fuuh, it is real adrenaline rush for a really long time. But dangerous ya.

Anyway, I had a lot of car speeding pass me at above 160km/h, so just wondered do these drivers really maintain at these speed throughout the journey.

Had a lot of myvi cucuk me as well...these P2s were really fast.
Wats the top speed for myvi?
*
Tapao them back...dont think the myvi could faster than your ride.. smile.gif
Usually, I dont give a damm to them "block the world spinning"

P/S: Drive safetly and always remember your love one wub.gif

The passat 1.8 goNna b a failure in malaysia market at this price tag. Most would go for golf gti. At least I could mod it to stage 1 for more omphhh.
*
Failure ? Are u sure ?

VW Passat is more target to midsize market and for people looking for more versatility....Should compare this way, Vw passat 1.8 (RM185k) vs Toyota Camry (RM174k+) and Honda Accord 2.4 (RM168k+)
with the price, spec and performances wise, ppl are start thinking of vw passat. In additonal to that, vw gives 5 walong tea (warranty tongue.gif)...which side will you choose ? West or East ?

If you think of performances should go for GTI or R..
