How does the HD6720 G2 perform when playing games like starcraft 2? Better or worse? I read it may perform even worse when playing certain games.

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Sep 8 2011, 12:14 AM) intel philosophy... raw CPU power.... I read on the net that the apu(6520g)+radeon 6650m=6720g2 may even perform worse on certain games. I wonder who owned the Asus A43TA already tested on playing games? amd nao new fusion philosophy... GPU is important too.. SB.... CPU wise... it is ahead of Llano... gpu wise(i mean the HD3000.. nt those by nvidia or ati)... it sucks Llano... CPu wise..it's at best... only on par with i5... but it shines in graphics,... integrated is a ati 6520g..... while discrete gpu is a 6650m... apu(6520g)+radeon 6650m=6720g2, crossfire.. kinda like double barrel shotgun...XD pefect for games.XD Thinking of getting one but the reviews make me think twice. |

Finally purchased an Asus A43TA. Upgraded to 4GB Ram, Windows 7 pro. Tested only on Civilization 5 on fullmaps with occupied with troops and cities. Quite impressive. Tomorrow will test on Starcraft 2 on high mode. Crossfire enabled.
Weeeeeeeeeeeee................ Oh...my power adapter not working! Darn it. Just got it today when plug in only notice it is not working. Gonna ask for replacement tomorrow. So bad luck! |

I wanted to boast to 8GB at first but I know it will be under utilize. Won't help much unless you go for SSD or SSD hybrid. LOL...But i m so damn bad luck.
Went back home when plugged in the power adapter only realize it is not working. Luckily is not the laptop's problem. Have a spare 3rd party adapter. Else whole night cannot test. |

Want to ask,how to differentiate when you are playing games. It is running on crossfire instead on single graphic card? Where to see?

Eh..that one I know..I mean is there like an interface showing that your game is running on crossfire?
How to know if it is really running on crossfire instead of single? Eg..like the cpu. We can see it at the task manager. We can see the graph is actually moving. |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 21 2011, 11:41 PM) You can use either RadeonPro or MSI Afterburner. I see...thanks Acid_RuleZz! Will check it out later. LOLIn RadeonPro, you need to enable Show Crossfire logo option and Crossfire logo will appear when u start a game in xFire mode. In MSI Afterburner, you need to enable the OSD and it will show GPU1/GPU2 if u're running on xFire mode like the image below. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 27 2011, 03:44 PM) ^ 72c max temp consider very good already when gaming. you can't compare laptop temp vs desktop temperature.. Agree... 72 celcius is normal. No worries. Your laptop wont get burn. lolSB i7 can reach 90c. Added on September 27, 2011, 3:46 pmi saw many user in Notebookreview forum tried to keep their Llano system under 85c when overclocked. |

Tested Shogun 2 total wars on crossfire last night. Very disappointed. Load slower than single graphic card.
I guess what the review say is true. Some games may perform badly in crossfire mode. |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 30 2011, 03:52 PM) No its not.. do you have 'Application Profiles' in your Program and Features? If not, download and install it from here. After install everything. Shogun 2 can play much better on crossfire. XD |
