Nope, solid surfaces can't handle the heat, and scratch easy. When i was in US, some of the hotel i go use only concrete for the toilet sink. Is dam nice.

I want to do this on the kitchen, can't even find a cement dye to make it Black / White.

Minimal 1000 sqft, and some transporation fees. Already know the quote. One simple floor will cost you minimal 10k

So how is your end result so far? Last I saw if your top is black. Did you sand it and seal it afterward?
*
OK la, sand it myself and did the sealing myself too.

Care to share which sealer you used? Hard to find food grade sealer here.
*
I use this http://www.pyeproducts.com/prodetails.php?...de=RESL&lang=en

Acrylic sealer not very friendly with rubber, when you have rubber stand on the top for long maybe few days, it tend to stick on it making it got marking.

Whats concrete mix you use? Mix on your own or buying premix?

Is using white cement enough to make it white?
*
Black, you need dye. White, white cement will do.

You are using 1? Good to use? Easy to maintain?
*
Yes, at my parking area. If you looking for blink blink glossy it going to be hard to maintain, matt will be easy. Depending the finishing.

Means the colour is created by the acid huh.
Interesting!
*
In the US is been years they doing it. And we in Malaysia still see this as miracle come from the sky. And so hard to find the material use it for. I managed to make some acid for one or two color but not large enough for entire house. End up i pay premium for the setup.

I hope the material can now easily be purchase and used in Malaysia. I may one day make my entire indoor with acid stain.

Forgot already, is more expensive than doing tiles and that is only the staining, not inclusive of preparing the concrete floor.
