QUOTE(stimix @ Jul 7 2011, 04:49 PM) Cher..just a decoration board also wanna make big issue..Not the main strcuture of the bridge-lah..can be recycle & re-decorated on every festival. what the big issue? Nevertheless this isnt the end result of millions of dollars spent which we were hoping for.with those holes, its bad to look at and gives bad image to the tourists. Those holes and cracked walls should not of happened this fast This post has been edited by FrostLance: Jul 7 2011, 05:42 PM |

When I replied, I din see the cracked concrete. That I agreed is serious but on the poly deco, it's just a deco unless as you said or proven that deco can cost millions, than it will be interesting
Those deco is so common mah..Even those Malls using poly as faked rocks & etc..Dirt cheap to replace & re-decorate accordinmg to festivals...The cracked concrete is the one serious not the deco part QUOTE(FrostLance @ Jul 7 2011, 05:41 PM) |

No contractor will be so stupid-lah to replace concrete beam wth poly...The cost of kena sue & etc not worth it.
The top part already a concrete & sufficient dy, the arch is just a deco lah...Even a non engineer like me also know it's a deco..Well, probably wanna better deco, can use those deco bridge in Putrajaya QUOTE(spursfan @ Jul 7 2011, 05:56 PM) |

if the bridge is really made of polysterene, and it can normal load of cars or ppl passing, that's an engineering feat to be proud of.
and if it's just a decoration, what's the fuss about? if they made it from concrete and wire mesh, you guys will still complaint over the costs too. sometimes, msian just don't know what they want. just oppose anything for the sake of opposing. |
