I just ordered a few sets of Samsung 30nm DDR3 .... but haven't got a DDR3 rig yet. My pc still haven't changed since the last time I left overclocking. LOL.
Seems like DDR3 price will increase within these few days, probably an effect from Elpida's bankruptcy.

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Mar 4 2012, 09:51 PM) fx am3+ is tempting... but it seems that fm2 is coming soon too. i've been missing a lot of things since am2, still need to relearn new technology This post has been edited by soulfly: Mar 4 2012, 10:03 PM

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Mar 6 2012, 11:24 AM) Yeah. Build up this system for VMware ESXI. So GPU power is not really necessary. -pWs-what board is it?

QUOTE(8tvt @ Mar 15 2012, 10:10 PM) chapalang ram la.. still adjusting the voltage.. all mixed up already.. donno which causes instability.. coz in 3000mhz nb also.. cannot reduce the NB? isn't it suppose to have its own multi too? i'm a noob also ... haih. it's so different than am2 nowadays.

QUOTE(8tvt @ Mar 15 2012, 11:39 PM) NB freq need to sync with ram 3 times.. reduce NB will hold the ram speed.. e.g.: 1600 (800) ram with 2400 nb so 2000 (1000) ram with 3000 nb QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Mar 16 2012, 10:12 AM) theoretically is like that but it's kinda hard for imc to go over 3k without pumpin lotsa volt. thuban is capable for 2100+ for 24/7, while imc wise 3k is d max i reckon > from experience. Hmm.... I must be misunderstood then, because from somewhere else the NB clockspeed formula is something like (CPU clockspeed*2)/3.15

QUOTE(lengchai86 @ Mar 25 2012, 04:16 AM) guys. i'm facing problem during running superpi, got error message "no exact in round" whats that mean. how to fix this. ram is oredy loose enough (1400 CL9-10-9 @ 1.67Vdimm) using KHX 2100 CL9. later i will post the ram pichar voltage is kinda high for that speed and timing combo. you sure it's not cpu problem instead?

HT speed does not have effect on SuperPi. All you'd need is high clockspeed, fast ram and tight timing.

UEFI bios look nice only. it does not improve overclocking potential. LOL.
