wondering why after half year launching FX-8150, the price in Malaysia still very costly (RM900+)while us market selling it around $230 (RN690)
Is there a tax on computer hardware?

QUOTE(achok @ Apr 26 2012, 10:58 AM)
hi guys...

Im planning to unlock my phenom II x2.
not planning for overclocking yet.
and.. i have below decent knowledge about hardware  biggrin.gif
my current rig:

AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE
MSI 770-C45
Kingston KVR DDR3 1333 2GB
Kingston KVR DDR3 1333 2GB
Sapphire HD 4870 512MB DR5
LG DVDRW 22x
WD 500GB 7200 RPM
Vantec ION2 500w
Coolermaster Elite 335
Acer X233H

to be replace before unlocking:- (limited budget)
1. ram - suspected faulty coz get error from memtest lastnite. also maybe the reason why i got random bsod after idle/streaming movie.
going to test one by one.
Question: is 4gb value RAM good enuff?

2. psu - planning to get 2nd 700w tagan.
Question: will my rig waste power (sh!t, i dunno how to elaborate this  blush.gif  biggrin.gif  )

3. heatsink - getting better than stock, such as cm 212 evo or equal. my current cpu fan already at 6000 rpm  doh.gif  (average 44'c)

4. Fan - atm, my casing have front(120mm) and rear(120mm), i tot to add 1 more <120mm fan at side panel (custom) too cooling my gpu.(atm idle= 58'c). placing below gpu-blow in+filter.
Question: 120mm or 90mm fan?, should i plug all fan case to mobo or psu? (atm. rear=mobo. front= psu)
am i doing this rite?  hmm.gif  biggrin.gif

feedback plz  thumbup.gif  notworthy.gif

1.Value ram not an issue of OC for black edition processor
2.700w too much for your rig even after OC kaw kaw, get a 80+ around 500w will do
3.depend on your budget, CM 212 evo not bad after all (with direct heat pipe)
4.i prefer 120mm, you can plug all to psu, then side panel to mobo (so that you can set auto adjust the fan speed via mobo)

hope this will help biggrin.gif
