QUOTE(matsom @ Mar 21 2013, 08:39 AM) @ppslim, keep vcore below 1.45 and temp below 60s, whichever comes first. also read moar la, oc'ing amd =/= upping cpu multi + voltage. and (imo) be very conservative read this too: http://semiaccurate.com/2012/11/20/overclo...0/#.UUpTm6zxFf8 (if tl; dr fx 8350 can reach 4.5ghz on stock cooling ) QUOTE(munlok30 @ Mar 22 2013, 10:55 AM) hahaha .. you must change ur stock processor cooler in order to overclock better . ah i see , i also did wanted to buy a better fam processor ,i thought i can overclock it around 5.0-5.2 with a better ones haha...

QUOTE(matsom @ Mar 22 2013, 05:20 PM) 5ghz need very good (and expensive ) air/liquid cooler, good (high-end) mobo with vrm cooling, and fast (1600/1866) ram -this is mostly true for 8-core visheras; the quad/hexa cores are rated at lower tdp so maybe can skimp a bit on the mobo and cpu-cooling -i think i read this in some forum... just be careful and good luck thanks bro

QUOTE(lengchai86 @ Mar 28 2013, 11:01 PM) no such the safest-for-OC term. the best is keep the temp as low as possible. i'm not sure what is max temp for FX series. but i'll keep em below 60'C at full load *after googling around, i think your mobo can do light OC only... but don't worry, you try first then post here to let us know the result ah ic , thx for the info , i will post my result once i have the time to play with the OC .

QUOTE(matsom @ Apr 2 2013, 06:50 PM) @raydenex actually those temps (46-47*c coretemps) are good -imo, and try to up vcore a bit and see if it can withstand prime95 (not my favorite, but to each his own @ppslim: cache: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU_cacheTDP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_design_power long story short TDP = how much heat can the processor take cache = how fast the processor can work , lower cache = more faster work done am i correct?

QUOTE(matsom @ Apr 7 2013, 01:51 PM) how much heat can the CPU cooler handle ...depends on the CPU's architecture and what it was designed for -"higher" or "lower" cache does not necessarily mean faster or slower 'work' done. just think of them as CPU's equivalent of system RAM wow thx for the clearing , and here i thought i know alot about computer , i guess i haven`t learned enough

Hello Fellow Amd users , i am thinking whether should i change my FX-4300 to FX-6300 or FX-6350 , because i am using GTX780ti , and my FX-4300 is bottlenecking my GPU which not only let me play on only high settings for BF4 , but i tested using furmark that i only receiving 30++fps , any suggestions ? or is it GTX780ti only can play on high settings ?

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Feb 12 2014, 10:19 AM) Wow.. for 780ti u should get urself a FX8350 or Intel i5 or i7 instead.. initially i planned to get an i5 , but since i am stuck with a AM3+ mobo , i have no choice but to use it , so my budget is within FX-6350 range , any advice ?
