y not 97 evo bro? i believe d price diff is negligible. dunno why but i always prefer evo than vanila version, well, mebe i'm just bein cautious w d naming...  tongue.gif

better safe than sorry bro, so i'd say actively cool d pwm is a "play safe" move. those fets will get toasty once d clock & amount of juice increased.  sweat.gif

here no 97 evo ler.. boring distro not bring in certain range..

i see the cooler same only..

u know what.. it might be coz of the IMC..
one thing that u need to know when clocking amd..
some cpu n mobo convenient with certain multi or divider..
this is the beauty of overclocking amd..

which means.. there are alot of variable involve..
u can't just select 1 htt or cpu multi to get the best results..

don't make this 'alot of setting work' to set your mind as hard task..
every inch of value in the bios is useful..
make it positive.. this is how the OCer gain their knowledge beside readings..
so happy tweaking..

oh man, still remember pushing the s754 to the limit with very tight ram timing with the crappy mobo..
nowadays mobo much more tolerance wise.. if failed can just switch off.. bios will reset.. last time need jumper man.. and some can't even boot with the same RAM!!!

for me seriously i just push.. if it can't go it will stop somewhere.. not explode..
those degrade thingy i just let it be.. how long u want to use the proc btw..
should worry it being obsolete rather than their lifetime..

960t unlocked? voltage is a 'lil bit on high side bro. from what i remember (short spell with 960t) u aint need that kind voltage for such clock. avoid usin half multi. jack up d ram to 1866 with laxer timing mebe?  biggrin.gif
price diff not huge, more cores might spells higher temp but more is always better if ya cooling can cope with d heat.  wink.gif

still play2 with d voltage.. the calibration makes it sky high.. i want to make the voltage flexible with the speed...
not good ram though..

cnq + c1e enabled? try fixed voltage setup 1st, see what d lowest voltage stable for d oc'ed setup. then try usin vid + offset for cnq setup. iirc asus not really that good in cnq setup. iirc my fm2 board d vid keep changin eventhou i've already fixed it in bios. not so sure on am3 as it's been a while since i last owned one.  sweat.gif

no harm tryin for d ram bro, 9-10-9 or 9-11-11 for 1866 is possible if d chippies are decent one.  wink.gif

lol i can't find cnq..
i'm playing with the LLC, if fixed voltage, when speed come to load it require more n not stable...
the calibration works well just i need to lower down the initial voltage for lower speed operation.. so i got optimum setup..
so far the voltage is stable no vdroop issue like before..

just that at first attempt i set at higher base voltage so it's freely boost the voltage..
the weird thing is the option supposedly in percentage.. but i have only enabled/disabled option that may cause to jump up to 100% max
that's the reason the temp is so high..

ive no other option that flexible other than that CPU LLC n CPU NB LLC.. i can say it control and adjust the voltage n vrm accordingly much better..

much simplified version.. ok la not so pening..

i cannot recall having that offset setting.. just the above LLC only...
even d cnq option not avail...

maybe this board too simplified..
