seriously, how did you managed to rent a place without a valid WP ?
*
You can if you are sharing.
For my tenancy agreement, there were 4 persons.
2 with valid passport and FIN.
My FIN was correct but not my passport as I renewed before coming. laugh.gif laugh.gif
The other just had a passport and no FIN at that time.

I just opened a citibank account in malaysia last week.. there are no charges except for the exchange difference.. the rate i got was 2.430 instead of a 2.45x?

lost about rm20+ per rm2450.. less than 1%, i think its ok unless you are making a very huge xfer. I know maybank charges SGD15 per xfer but dont know about their rates.
*
Citibank charges a SGD10 service fee for transfer from citibank sg to citibank m'sia.

Was wondering why don't both of u have separate PR applications?
*
You need a letter issued from employer if you are main and I am under an agency (outsourced).
My agency is screwed up when it comes to requesting info/stuffs from them.
There is also another clause that says they will only help after 1 year with them and it will result in another year of bond.

but i believed Malaysian birth cert doesn't need to be translate rite? because Malaysia and Singapore was the same country before.
Just like converting driving license, our driving license is in Malay, but it doesn't need translation.
*
Well...that is my understanding too.

good luck in your pr application. so what's your next action plan? convert to singapore citizenship (contribute to malaysian brain drain, which is good) or remain a pr but retire in malaysia?
*
In my opinion, Singapore is better for the working class.
For the infants and the elderly, malaysia is more manageable.

QUOTE(r1v3r @ Aug 17 2011, 11:15 AM)
same case, my friend just got the IC after 8 months. How long did you all waited?

Should try individual application first, can not then use spouse application...

your husband PR is tied to yours, you void your PR and there goes his PR.
When you have kids, one of you have to "sponsor" your kids to be PR, then the whole falimy PR tie to you.
So make sure you never leave SG without a valid REP. (but heh, female normally more careful.. laugh.gif )

If both are self application then you all take turn to sponsor kids loh... your husband so garang... 25 Kids leh  rclxub.gif

She has been here for 1year+...I just got my butt here in january.
Did not thought of the tying up part as did not know of such a thing. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Ok. Thanks, will read more on it.
Just read from a Pinoy forum (I have no idea what some of them are saying, I only focused on english which i can understand laugh.gif laugh.gif), apparently, I am LIABLE for NS.
Just most of the cases, the husbands are exempted.

QUOTE(r1v3r @ Aug 17 2011, 12:00 PM)
?? first generation PR dont need to serve NS but their kids as second generation PR have to serve NS.

Spouse PR should be consider same generation.
*
Apparently, spouse is considered as 2nd generation from the Pinoy forum.
