So almost 1 in 6 households in SG are millionaires. Since there's like at least 20 of us in this thread, by the stats we should have 2 or 3 millionaires, faster identify yourself!

When you buy a seat on a plane, the captain still has the right to throw you off the flight or restrain you, no? Even if you misbehave in your seat only.
Or what's the difference between taking a taxi and renting a car?

we have the rights to throw the captain off the flight also right? thumbup.gif or crash the plane rclxub.gif

QUOTE(MsiaqweR @ Aug 1 2011, 09:25 PM)
MNC and well established companies are all having policies and well documented procedures.

Those companies without policies and procedures are basically those chinaman companies.

Can you imagine there are no employee handbook, company policies are verbally told by your bosses etc???? I have been into these kind of companies before and resigned after 2 weeks.
*
true, it is nice also if you're the one making the policies thumbup.gif

QUOTE(venicelim @ Aug 3 2011, 09:11 PM)
Nope. I didnt scold her.
Today in the phone call, i verified with her whether it is true or not that the appeal is rejected.
And then she asked me whether i can apply permit myself, i told her nicely that i cant.
And at the end of the call, she said that she will help me to call up MOM again and hopefully can update me by this week.
I am absolutely very frustrated but i didnt scold her. Somemore i said thank you to her at the end.
I am thinking of wana called up the HR manager or hiring manager to draw their attention.
Btw, i am also wondering is it possible  the HR tipu me that she has appealed while she didnt help me to appeal?
cz she said rejected but i cant see in EPonline.

QUOTE(venicelim @ Aug 4 2011, 05:39 PM)
yea.
looks like many of you guys here suggested me to move on and apply other company instead of asking the current one to help me for 2nd appeal.

Btw, If i wana move on to apply other company, i need to ask the current company to cancel off any other further processing of my application from MOM right?
Then only i can ask other company to help me to apply for working pass right? cz i heard at one time only 1 application can be processed.
And also, will the new company found my old rejected record with MOM?
*
friend, actually what you can do is while waiting... why not apply for more jobs? no harm if you have time right? probably get a better offer?

no, dont need to cancel i believe... just go ahead... there will be interviews and all... probably by the time u get a new one the appeal has already faded off....

dont worry so much ler... just go apply new one

I heard from my cousin who is now working in Singapore that there are more and more Mainland Chinese who come and are willing to take up jobs with less pay.

My question is: aside from being hardworking, are they really bright and competitive?

And can we tell them at first sight (from the way they dress or talk perhaps) that they are Mainland Chinese? tongue.gif Or to be more specific, do they assimilate well into the society?
*
yes, those in the low level f&b service sector

there're those that are bright and competitive.. but most of them will balik tongsan as they can make better $$$

sometimes no, prcs are selfish and aggressive... but i had seen a few that blend in well... the very young ones

DBS/POSB internet banking requires us to get a number from the 'token' for security purpose whenever we want to log in. isnt that mean we have to carry that thing wherever we go if i want to use internet banking elsewhere.
*
any bank in sg btw...
