i think if you recommended the fren to buy Asus... i think the fren won't believe you anymore. lol...

and surely, the fren will avoid Asus brand from now on... pity him... so many problems.

If i not mistaken FB got pull out from Honeycomb before and went missing and according to web market it's not compatible with our TF... Why not try Friend Me... Tablet optimize FB apps...

frankly speaking,  if there are both 3g and non 3g model to choose now, I will still buy the non 3g model cuz I don't see the need to have always on broadband for the tab. tab is different from phone, u don't have it by your side 24/7 like your phone.

for me,  I only need internet for the tab when I'm actually using it which most of the time I'm either in wifi zone or I'll be tethering from my phone.

but that's me la, I find this combination is better haha and my friend with a 3g Ipad 2 agrees with me and now regretting lol, he say should have gotten the none 3g ipad instead

Well... 7" + 3G is a must... i cant imagine people walking around while looking @ 10" tablet... It's not even practical...

Why i say while walking around... because that the reason for data on the go... XD

Anyone experience the TF rebooting or turn on by itself during recharging? This happened to me each time I charge my unit!

I faced this few times already. Not sure what is causing it.

Rooted my transformer... the typing speed still remain slow...

damn... splilled coffee on my keyboard......hmmm no problem...maybe a bit of coffee only.

Pretty much any android 2.2 phone if not mistaken that has tethering function should be able to work.

i think wifi analyser is a must app......

super smooth for me with the twitter stack...running with the most recent 3.1 update.

1) vibration on such a big device ? whats the point, do you carry yours in your pocket ? huge pockets then...   

2) aluminium / metal back covers - one issue i noticed on such devices, it heats up and not comfortable to the touch - take some nokia phones for e.g. - the battery produces heat / the phone produces heat / the metal cover conducts heat from your fingers/palm.

3) you will most probably use a sleeve / leather cover for your galaxy tab - even on the Asus - no point having those patterns on the back cover.

3) i agree Asus did not optimize the camera drivers on the TF. i am sure the camera module itself is good but i think they are just using generic drivers for it. they should take some lessons from Nokia. 

4) i agree galaxy tab 10.1's edges are smooth and nice.... Asus edges a bit squarish to match the keyboard dock.... thats why without the dock it looks a bit out of place...

jananan : I've given up on trying to play all files (video) on TF101. So far MX Mobo and DicePlayer played well. MKV file @ 720p no success yet.

I've tried Dice Player success playing 1080p smooth on AVI file. Not friendly on MP4

maybe those people selling off their TF going to buy TF slider or TF 3G or the Tegra3 based TF2 coming soon.

not necesarily going to buy Tab 10.1   

i am not saying the Tab is not good, its the same SoC as Asus TF in a sexier package.

I agree, compared to the current Galaxy Tab 10.1, everything else Asus TF, Toshiba Thrive, Motorola Xoom, Acer Iconia all look fat and bulky.

it's just all about personal preference, the Galaxy Tab also has better build quality compared to TF if u must say, but different ppl different requirement, for me i think keyboard is a cool thing to have since i be browsing a lot with it and there will be a lot of typing to do sometimes. and the 2 USB slot and extra battery is welcomed. Galaxy Tab is for ppl who wants a sexier tablet with a smoother UI.. wait till Windows 8 come out, i might just overclock it to 1.6Ghz and replace it with my laptop when i go out already

also, vibration is also welcomed since it's mentioned, it's not for vibrating to wake u up or tell u u have a phone call(as if it can make phone calls, lol), more like applications can use the vibration as another method of feedback

just saw someone using Galaxy Tab 10.1 in my office

the borders around the screen, the a.k.a the bezel looks narrower compared to Asus TF.

makes it look smaller.

i have both transformers and galaxy tab 10.1.. while the transformers is now being used by my dad, and i'm using the tab10.1, i have to admit it's not an upgrade if you are changing from transformers to tab10.1 ..

why would ICS cuz any problem to the keyboard? Anyway, i don't think it will be so soon that ICS will land on Transformer, probably a good few months wait
yes, keyboard use the same charger and cable as the tablet itself.

yes... from what i understand, when you buy the keyboard dock, it does not come with charger -- i found that silly. when i first got my set, i was hoping to get 2 sets of chargers (1 as spare). charger only comes with the tablet.

asus big boss say by year end wor...

and the problem is... not sure if things have changed... but... no official accessories/ spare parts in MY.

do let me know if i'm wrong about the spare part availability in MY. but i guess can use 'compatible' products la...

i dont think any third party keyboard can give a proper challenge compared to the original keyboard dock.

spec sheet advantage:
1) 2 usb ports
2) card reader
3) touch pad
4) dedicated HC buttons
5) It charges your tab instead of draining it compared to BT keyboards
