QUOTE
your charger is overheating

1) unplug and put it in a cool place - let fan blow, stick it in your freezer
2) remove the tablet from the keyboard dock (un-transform it) duh...
3) shutdown the tablet - press and hold power button - choose shutdown
4) when the charger has sufficiently cooled down, plug in it to the wall power
5) plug the charger tip in to the tablet directly, not to the dock.
6) it will power up automatically and continue charging

the charger heats up considerably when it tries to charge both the tablet and keyboard dock at the same time and automatically shuts down.

if this does not work, either your charger, or the usb cable or the tablet is faulty.

and please dont say you are using usb 2.0 male-to-female cable to extend the charger cable because that wont work !!

1-seriously to put it in the freezer?
2-i do not use it
3-obviously i know what is shutdown-been using it for 4 months already
4-done it always
5-again not using the dock
6-it power up autimatically but it does not charging after i shutdown. usually when its power up, the charging icon will appear.

and please i don't use anything to extend the charger cable...anyway thank you for suggestion..

anyone does have this problem before?can help me?thanks

okey. i've try all the methods given by the members here.but none of it works. still it cannot charge fully or can't charge at all.

weird things happen anyway, yesterday i try charging it and leave it even though there is no icon showing its charging but it takes 4 hours and max it can go to 70% only. cannot go to 100%.

so, i went to ASUS center in Jln Imbi. they said that my adapter problem. it said can be change 1 to 1 but no stock have to wait like 3weeks to order from Taiwan. haiyaa!!how can i live without my tab like this..
anyone from shah alam that can lend me their charger?hehehe

the drain issue not because the old batch or new batch..
its the owner itself who use it..whether the apps or the game u play..
not because the batch one la..

i'm the "old batch"..if i'm not using some 'powerful' apps my tab will last long enough until days never battery drain one..but if i'm surfing youtube for long hours or playing games then the battery drain fast la..thats for sure..like u using ur hp..

anyway,tyenfei..i just came back from digital mall and search up and down about my adapter..try this and that but none of the adapter suits it.the voltage of our adapter those not suit or compatible with ipad or samsung or any third party adapter.

at last, i just charge awhile my tab at AONE shop as the shop owner kind enough to let me charge using the display unit charger.get my tab about 60% already.yeay!
chitchat also about transformer with him.hahahaha

jimmylim85 - i've try searching for the adapter that is suitable but no shops sells it

mydragon- my adapter does not work but my cable works.
try searching the compatible or third party but no shops sells it.

If u guys can find it, let me know. Because none of the tablet have the same usb cable port (the one that goes to the tablet). For adapter you can find lots of third party usb adapter but also none of its have the compatible voltage for our transformer.

Maybe i don't search enough for it but i have try digital mall, jln imbi and alam sentral and no one can provide me with the things i want. All i have to do is to wait for Asus to call me and gave me the new one. And have to wait 3-4 weeks for that. That's why i'm searching for other alternative or anyone that live near shah alam that can let me borrow 1-2 hours to charge my tablet. will belanja coffee la for sure.

tyenfei - thanks for the offer but not today, next time cz now still in shah alam

U can charge yr transformer via the PC / notebook USB.

However, the tablet must not be used at all, ie. the screen is off.
Enjoy.....

Yup.. someone have told me about that earlier..
I off wifi at my laptop and tablet, switch off the tablet and charge it..
For 1 whole night it only will charge about 20%, i charge then gave a break about 3 hours then charge again..
2 days straight i charge my tablet and this morning its 100% already.. rclxms.gif
Haiyoo!!

anyone recently do an exchange/fix with asus centre for light bleed and/or dead pixel issue? I'm thinking of sending mine in but scared take too long..cant live without my transformer tongue.gif

i have light bleed also. I have ask Asus service center about the light bleed before also as my tablet charger cannot works the other day as if you can see my post earlier. They said can "can repair it under warranty but it takes 2-3 weeks". So, i don't sent my tablet as i also cannot live without my transformer eventhough i have to charge it for 2 days. hehehe
