Yes, but the 25W MX150 in T480 runs hot (some thermal issue)

Build quality is solid enough in both models

T480s can handle i5-8250U at 3.4GHz all core with undervolt (no dGPU variant), not sure it can do this or not in the MX150 model. Has 10W MX150 with low temp limit

Usually thinner means less thermal performance, but T480 also runs hot with MX150 (mostly due to 25W variant pushing out too much heat...and yet fan noise is too low). CPU performance is above average but still below T480s

If you don't need ultra long+removable battery, I would pick T480s due to more portability. If you want better display make sure to opt for WQHD panel

Not the same. T480s has slightly better CPU performance (real world performance) while T480 has slightly better GPU performance (25W vs 10W)

The GPU has Nvidia Optimus - which means most of the time it will run on Intel GPU unless it needs extra GPU power , it will start the nvidia GPU , otherwise it wouldn't at all.....

However keep in mind the MX150 variant suffers from slightly less battery life , the reason being even tho the dGPU is off , it's not really off - it's in low standby power mode....it will kick in fully when it wants power

You can force a game to use iGPU or dGPU , for example on battery i can play games with iGPU (iGPU here refers to Intel and dGPU refers to nvidia)

Notice for world of warcraft i have two options - I either use the built in GPU or use the dedicated nvidia card

However if you plug in monitor/any external display - it will automatically switch on dedicated GPU

using my T480s with MX150 2Gb, connected to 2 monitor using USB C dock....so far there is no issue on the Autocad...

You cannot have both 2280 nvme ssd and 2.5” sata3 ssd inside. Only option for 2nd ssd is to utilise wwan port with 2242 nvme ssd. This ssd quite difficult to buy. So far after market option is toshiba rc100 or wd sn520
