Hihi.. i'm laptop newbie. just got my laptop Thinkpad T43.
i have a question about the battery, can i take out the battey and using AC as the power source. coz i heard if charge the battery all the time when using the laptop, the battery's life will get shorter. is that true??

anyway is there any tips ar? using Thinkpad ar?? 1st time i'm using laptop..

But still have another question, my friend said if i take out the battery, then for a while, the battery can throw into dusbin. coz she had the experience before she take out the battery then after a while she put it back the battery cannot be used, but her laptop is not Thinkpad, other brand.

i did try once, push the ON button for few minutes. I tot there are more way to do it..
When my laptop 'hang', i will feel very 'sam tung' (heart break).
another thing, got few times, when i'm running some program including Internet Explorer, it become slower and suddenly the Internet Explorer will open a lot windows (for example open 40 windows Internet Explorer by itself)... why ar?? is it my window got some virus??

Hi... today my T43 have one problem...
I don't know what's going on... when i'm doing my work (should be quite long).. suddenly the screen black out (got nothing on the screen).. from afternoon until night, my lappy black out 3 times, 1st time the screen only have black+orange colour, 2nd time the screen become black colour, then 3rd time is white colour... The cpu still runing but the screen black out...
how ar?? only today wor... yesterday my lappy still ok de... is there any wrong with my lappy or got virus ar?? anyone can help me ar??

Hi, mine is T43, now I have a very big puzzel with my language of Access IBM. Last 2 months, I have installed update driver including access connection, Power manager etc. Now the language of my window xp is using english but I have language bar (which has chinese language and also english). Everything is in english but only the ThinkVantage Access Connection is using Chinese language. it's version 4.23
Anyone can tell me what's going on with my access connection?? Is it someone hacked into my laptop?? Any solution change back to english version?? ::....

Hi, I need to some help.. hope you guys can help me..
It's my faulth, i haven't update my rescue and recovery since i got my laptop. Currently, my rescue and recovery is using version 2.0(2.04.0182). But these 2 months, my laptop had been crash few times and when i send the error report to microsoft, it said need to update rescue and recovery.. So i tried to download rescue and recovery 3.0, but it can't work.
Anyone one can help me please...??

would you guys advise me to reformat my T43? As my hard disk capacity used up quite a lot but i have delete a lot of files and uninstalled a lot programs and it still used up a lot of memory. So my friend suggest me to reformat my laptop..

What is the steps to reformat T43?? Beside download all drivers from website??

I'm so idiot, i actually miss out the part to copy C:\SWTOOLS and I don't have idea how to install WinDVD. Anyone can tell me where can i download Windvd to play DVD disk?? coz i have download the update installer from Lenovo website and i can't run the installer.. or is there anyone can send me copy or the installer?? I really appreciate it. Thanks..
