greetings, any know is there a way to reset the Supervisor Password in ThinkPad? I got a T23, the #*$&@ user go play the BIOS and forgot the password. I checked the ThinkPad manual, the Supervisor password is not resettable, you'd have to change the whole MOBO. what worst, it locks out the HDD as well.
This is the Supervisor password, not normal password, it's not resettable by removing the CMOS battery. So pls dont post "have to try remove the CMOS battery?".

QUOTE(williamngwl @ Jan 26 2006, 12:46 PM) have u try calling service centre? yeah, they said have to change the whole mobo. their technicial came over to service other machines also said the same thing. Found some service to reset ThinkPad password on the internet, but it's all overseas and dunno whether thrustable or not. btw, the mobo cost much more than the machine is worth on the fair market value.
