dear guy/ gals

Does anyone here use WWAN module in the thinkpad? Does this module use SIMCARD ? if yes, what size of simcard?

Secondly I noticed that there are a few series of Thinkpad, which is better T or L?
Thanks

WWAN Thinkpad uses a nano SIM (newer ones). You need to buy it with WWAN card . Then you may use it

E series is the cheapest, it's made out of materials such as hard plastic and doesn't have features such as roll cage and drain holes and mil spec testing. L series is the next step up, it's still made from cheaper hard plastics but gets drain holes mil spec testing keyboard backlighting etc. T series gets glass reinforced plastic for a stronger and more premium feel along with all the features mentioned above. X is ultralight + whatever T has and carbon fibre

Thanks @ prasys

I'm looking to those Thinkpad which allows me to add the WWAN during ordering, as I can use my sim card without the need to use hotspot my phone smile.gif
Oic, now i have better understanding of the Thinkpad series smile.gif appreciated.

Guess now, it is to look/ wait for a better discount code smile.gif

I kinda lean towards X390 but need to wait for a special deal as I noticed that there is no special deal for this model yet smile.gif
My dream Thinkpad is X1 Carbon but no enough budget smile.gif

Lazada , or you can pick up one used at acarousell - this tiny one costs RM 3000. Now question is , well is it worth it - well you get 4USB 3.1 ports + fast charger also. RTX 2070 also costs like RM 2500 like that
Yes it's very bad
The beauty part of eGPU is it acts like a dock , you just need one cable to plug it in to charge the laptop + get powerful GPU

Wow, the cost of egpu and the GPU cost almost the same as my X1 Carbon sad.gif

On 2nd note, for travelling do you take the original charger or use alternative power supply such as Powerbank OR USB-C Wall Charger such as Aukey or UGREEN ?

Looking to add some accessories while waiting for my X1 to arrive smile.gif

Thanks

eGPU comes with the GPU - it's together , else it would have been expensive. You can pick used one for RM 1600 or so. You'll get power of eGPU + power from the quad core
For me , I have to take original charger , I can't charge X1 Extreme with USB-C unless it is 85W or 100W even that it's slow charging. FOR X1C , you can easily charge it with 45W charger

Thanks @ prasys smile.gif for the info. Will search for those 45W charger in Lazada to serve as an alternative. Oic, i tot eGPU is just casing box for us to install the GPU in it smile.gif

There are two version

AORUS is all in one - its very small can travel

Other brands just sell case and we buy our desktop GPU. I picked this one because it's small
45W USB chargers are very slim or you can buy PD Powerbank.
