yes especially the corners... too hard to stick down since it is not flat

How you guys trimmed so perfectly without scratch the laptop?
I found a shop in jb can do laptop wrap but my carbon fiber wrap was on the way to me  bangwall.gif

For those who want to protect their X1 Carbon and looing for a case or sleeve or minimalist laptop only sling bag from thule.

i bought Thule Gauntlet 4.0 and is pretty good. At first i order tomtoc which is also good but the seller failed to send me and refund instead

Thule Gauntlet 4.0 is a laptop sleeve case but opens wide and let you use laptop inside providing some surface protection while using. There is a 13" and 15" for this model but i bought 15" for additional clearance and put some small things inside
*
Omg , I didn’t applied carbon sticker at bottom case.
Since Taobao got selling the case.

I think you done too much protection like putting more bumper on your laptop already 🤭🤭

Consider it as accidental damage, got it covered...

Accidental damage such as drop from the Heigh.
Not doing touch on the screw.
How you gonna to explain?
Once you unscrew mean you gonna to touch on the board.
This is consider void your warranty.
Teardown mean is consider user faulty

In my experience, opening up the machine to add storage or memory won't void your warranty with Lenovo. Last year my friend (Johor) had to make warranty claim for his T480, due to a noisy fan. Prior to that, he replaced the SSD with his own. Got info from online support chat and carry-in to authorize service center. No problems. They checked, said need to order fan and told him they'll call in 2-3 days once the part arrived. He didn't have to leave the laptop there also. Didn't need to pay any money. Actually, it cost me more because I had to drive him and pay for parking....

Also, my cousin (Singapore) has a ThinkCenter desktop for her business front desk. When new, came with HDD only, so I added a budget ADATA SSD and reinstalled Windows to use it as system disk and the stock HDD for user files. Few months later her power supply failed and on-site tech didn't say anything. He took the desktop and returned it in around a week, no charges. Even offered to unplug the SSD + HDD and let my cousin keep while the machine was away, for privacy reasons.

Of course, they won't cover the component you installed yourself (you claim from that component's own manufacturer), but for most user installation like RAM, SSD, keyboard swap (from top only), etc, they usually don't make noise.
*
Storage or ram upgrade I think is should not an issue.
But due to screw broken into the chassis, I don’t think they will replace for you.
Unless is technical did the faulty

But it's a new laptop right? If like that he can contact support first with photo and receipt. See what they say.

Anyway u can capture and do a case with live chat from support.
Just make sure don’t let them know who you are before confirm that issue.
Just need to clarify will do.

I'm looking for genuine T440p 9-cell battery and 135W adapter. I already have a T440p, but the battery life sucks, and it only came with a 45W adapter. Any suggestions on where I can find them? A lot of sellers online seem to be selling aftermarket parts, not genuine Lenovo or OEM. Official Lenovo store no longer sells them, which kinda makes sense since the laptop is from 2013. I don't mind used as long as it's in good condition and it's genuine.

Guys, is it worth buying thinkpad t480 (PN: 20L5S00L00) demo set? The price is RM5,499? The shop claimed nb just opened for 5 months for display (until now). It still applicable for 3 years on site warranty.

Im upgrading from my X230.

Thanks.
*
Lol 5 months display for over 5k?
The battery life almost K.O

Not worth bro.. can you wait end of the month pay with Citi45 by Citibank card.
You can have more choices to purchase like AMD E595, 495, T495, T495s or even T490 if they really going to offing
Cause last offer was T590 just less than Rm3.2k only
