i saw rom manager can backup and restore ur phone

what does it backup? OS and data in internal SD? or just OS only?

does it backup all the installed apps together with app data?

if it does, so I can just go back to the state b4 I mod? anytime?

btw does it do anything to ur baseband by installing custom roms?

flash to Cyanogen7 Nightly 88 version..Hope it can save more battery..Btw, just like the ADW launcher so much!

ROM Manager uses Clockworkmod Recovery to backup, it means it backups your whole ROM and data.(Excluding External SD)

If you want to backup apps, I would recommend Titanium Backup
If you want to backup sms, mms, call logs, and such, get mybackup from the market.

No matter how you flash the custom ROM, your baseband will remain but your RIL will change depend on what RIL contained inside that ROM you flashed.

so far for me stock rom is the best for this phone

lol, ya, I check it everyday, I flash it when I see awesome features being implemented.
Not to mention that CM7's camera is way better than Stock Camera.
Stock Camera is very slow and lag IMO

Izzit most custom roms out there still using EXT3 by default?

Most of the custom ROMs out there will auto convert the partition to EXT4.
Just that when you are going to flash another ROM you need to revert it back first iinm.
I don't know why lol didn't bother to look into it

Using Nightly88..no big improvement on system's speed. Hope the battery consume issue will reduce. Btw, anyone know where to download stock ROM calendar? I miss the stock rom calendar that link with my google calendar..it very convenience!

You must be seriously lucky. I saw so many of them complain on XDA forums. Even the US version had problems till they had to sue LG. The thing is, being an ex-Optimus Black user, i kinda like LG. Cheap and powerful hardware but with some defects, haha. Anyway, i will either go with Nexus S or O2x in 2-3 days time. Hopefully O2x, sigh.

Don't worry about too much on that.
I don'y know why but the defected units in Malaysia is much more lesser than in other countries, although xxlaysia sucks, we are somehow lucky to get the normal one
