solution: buy a proper camera

liephone's camera isn't as good as u think, best phone camera came from SE

i'm on CM7 #127 build

2) have this problem, quite frequently

3) simple procedure, no need unlock bootloader

4) before flashing rom make a nand backup using CWM

5) no screen sensitivity issue

6) the only problem with this phone is the slow updates, everything else is good

very fast, very battery efficient, but TOO MANY BUGS! especially the black screen of death. usually i only get 2-3 times per week, yesterday got 5-6 times PER DAY! CM7 nightlies SUCKS. until they got their shxt together, i'd suggest u stick with original froyo ROM.

anyone using this ROM: O2X FLAIR GB v1??? I'm curious about the flashing baseband part, i'm on CM7 #127 at the moment, do i still need to flash the baseband or just flash the ROM directly? thanks

actually i'm getting quite good call quality on the CM7, even when i play music with very soft volume the guy on the other end always complain why i'm blasting my music... and vice versa, it's like the call volume is supercharged! and there's non of those crackling sounds usually heard on loud volumes, the voice is crisp and clear, i literally whispered so to not damage my friend's hearing when talking to him on the phone

I'm asking about another ROM for the O2X is because CM7 is giving me headaches on the black screen of death issue, it's getting worst and worst, and every time i'm on phone calls, the phone vibrates during conversations (10-15 seconds once), and it won't stop vibrating until I end the call. And the sound settings crashed every time I want to change the ringtone, need to use the profile to set ring tones. I'll try to wipe and reflash and see whether the problem persist or not

yeah the CM7's battery is really good, normal usage at least 24 hours, very light usage 48 hours no problem

hmmm...i'm on #127, i'll flash to #126 and see whether i still got those annoying bugs

kernel.org had been hacked and hasn't been restored yet. they need to use that website to build the nightlies

reflashed CM7 #126 (full wipe 3 times just for safety) but it still got black screen of death...really disappointing. Restored froyo nand backup.

Follow the rooting and flashing guide step by step (it's VERY easy) and u'll be fine, all of us also learn it that way. and if u plan to flash custom roms, u'll be flashing a lot (cause u'll be hooked), u'll bankrupt yourself if u keep paying ppl to do it for u.

FROYO Custom ROMS are already very very stable, GINGERBREAD ones still have some minor bugs, but are usable. The CM7 (gingerbread) ROM some of us have Screen of Death problems, so I won't recommend that to u

no need root if u normal use. if u want to use complex apps (e.g titanium backup, chaifire3d for playing tegra games etc) and flashing custom ROM, u need root

CWM will still be there, no worries. u r using CWM to wipe the phone and flash ROM / restore nand backup

this topogigi ROM, do i have to change the baseband before flashing or just flash directly? i'm on original froyo v10b (previously on CM7 but plagued by BSOD so restored back)

the only problem in my opinion is that LG is taking so damn long to release new updates for the phone, ICS will be coming next month but we are still not even getting Gingerbread

but this is android, we have custom ROMs for Gingerbread, so it's really not such a big issue if u know how to flash

other than this, it's the best (cheap) dual core phone in the market (price wise)

if u know how to flash custom roms (or planning to learn) then it's a fantastic phone, because the only problem with it is the slow updates from LG, until now still no news about gingerbread...

or if u can live with slow updates and using froyo, then just go for it, it's still a bargain dual core phone anyway

Added on October 4, 2011, 3:07 amyes meh, didn't really notice the BB change after i flashed so many times on other phones (because not required to) until I plan to flash some custom roms for this phone, they always say flash the BB first then only flash the ROM. If like that then I just flash the ROM only loh, no need flash BB (cause it's such a hassle using smartflash)
