Nirvana Blu-ray

user posted image

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nevermind, Nirvana's sophomore album, Universal Music will release Deluxe and Super Deluxe reissues of the legendary album. Only 10,000 copies of the limited, numbered Super Deluxe reissue will be available in North America, and another 30,000 for the rest of the world. Street date is September 20th.

The Super Deluxe reissue will feature the original remastered album and accompanying studio and live B-sides, the first full official release of the pre-Nevermind demos recorded at producer Butch Vig's Smart Studios, as well as boombox recordings of subsequent rehearsals. The Super Deluxe will also include a new perspective on the finished Nevermind album exclusive to the Super Deluxe Edition in the form of the Devonshire Mixes: the album as produced and mixed by Vig as opposed to the final version produced by Vig and mixed by Andy Wallace. Also on the Super Deluxe reissue are a pair of previously unreleased BBC recordings and the 1991 Paramount show available for the first time and exclusive to this format on CD and DVD (which also features all four music videos from Nevermind), as well as a stunning 90-page bound book full of rarely and never- before-seen photos, documents and various other visual artifacts of the Nevermind era.

The Paramount concert, transferred from 16mm film and multi-track audio, is the only known Nirvana concert shot to film and will be available in a 1080p high-definition picture and uncompressed 5.1 surround sound and stereo on stand-alone Blu-ray.

MUST HAVE COLLECTION !!

Why only Star Wars: Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars: Original Trilogy got discount US$5.00? What about Star Wars Complete Saga? If cancel Star Wars Complete Saga and order Star Wars: Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars: Original Trilogy, then we will incur additional shipping charge for 1 more BD.  That make it not saving much.  rclxub.gif

During Comic-Con 2011, FOX showed some attendees a video clip of some of the Deleted Scenes that will be found on the upcoming “Star Wars” Blu-ray Disc release(s). The video can be found below on YouTube.

Just a reminder, “Star Wars” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 16th and it’s available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. There’s a few options to chose here, either go all out and get “The Complete Saga” or be choosy and pick “The Original Trilogy” and/or “The Prequel Trilogy“. The complete saga carries a $89.99 price tag, while the trilogy sets run $44.99 each.

Waiting for US Super Deluxe Edition bro...

One thing i have noticed in the Audio re-release is the missing track "Endless Nameless". Have you heard it before? Cobain just growls all the way..grunge all the way!..I hope someone notices the missing track from the Nirvana Nevermind 20th Anniversary release.

I hope it's included in the Blu-ray release.

Check around others forum, I notice more and more, nearly 90% UK new release blu-ray slipcover is top naked now, UK blu-ray packaging now not only ugly because of nipples, now it became extreme ugly as Topless with Nipples!
*
Its has to be "slip sleeves"..Slipcovers are the "full" regular cardboard covers that comes with the US releases..

Sappy was suppose to be B-Side of Nevermind but it was released as single unreleased rare track. I Hate Myself And I Want To Die is suppose to be part of B-Side of In Utero. Lets see what they got to offer in the Blu-ray release of Nevermind 20th Anniversary

You can read well, congratulations. I read it again yesterday and realized that the Blu-ray isn't part of the package and it would be a standalone release. Well, not too bad, still it's a must have collection for me , no matter what's the prospect is. UK pricing utter utter pricey!. Will wait for US release news.

I grew up listening to Nirvana, even till date...That's not the point...I would be still getting the standalone Blu-ray release which is the live concert. I wish it would be the...Live Tonight ! Sold Out !, awesome live from the fellas. Apparently, its the Live At Paramount (seen it on DVD)

Just read the responds from the fans when the above was announced here

Thanks for correcting Andrew.. notworthy.gif

Welcome smile.gif I will get the concert Blu-ray disc itself, hope it is transfer well, not hopping for great, since it is origin from 16mm film. Sadly the Super Deluxe Edition not included the Blu-ray disc, but with such price, I not going to get also. US might be cheaper, but since UK already RM 400+, I think US also at least RM 300+

Maybe the great combination at the moment will be 2CD Deluxe Edition + Blu-ray wink.gif

£10.99 + £16.79 = £27.78 = RM 135.45

Link for 2CD Deluxe Edition:

If the set comes with a Blu-ray , that would have concluded my decision to get the Super Deluxe Edition. Now I'm kind of mixed about what to get. Might have to get the Blu-ray , separately. I'm sure both will be priced at ($20+ for the Blu-ray disc, and $80/$90 or something for the 4CD+DVD)

Doesn't matter..both will be in my pre-order list (US edition). Blu-ray should be getting released about the same time as the Deluxe & Super Deluxe Edition, or they opt for the Oct 31 sentiment...
