Old stock. Probably made in April or March. As long as this year, then no problem. And i think 6xxx is not affected by the power sterring hose recall, coz i checked with Proton i-Care last time. I didn't get any letters either...anyone with 6xxx and above gets the letter for the power steering hose recall?
*
I think they already fix that problem be4 even pushing the sales again right?

Anyone here do so? any website can refer? hehe..

u can try google monster mod malaysia. Try to get PP Material, FRP Material breaks easily and need maintenance frequently. PP Material is something like our Inspira body kit (Someone said this before in here) Ofcourse PP material is more expensive.

the 5 years warranty, cover all car parts, or only the engine? (doesn't make sense for the warranty period to cover the battery).
*
Warranty do not cover wear and tear stuff, others all covered.

I see, so i assume that the warranty covers the engine, CVT, pumps, a/c, radiator, audio system, power windows etc.?

Anyway I found a pretty old article, http://paultan.org/2007/09/14/proton-subsi...arts-to-toyota/ . Does this means that our proton body work is actually on par with toyota (since toyota has a reputation for having solid exterior)? If its true, that means we all really complain banyak banyak o...
*
What you've stated above all covered, things that are not covered. Example: Tires, Headlights, Fog Lights, Spot Lights and so ...

OOO means all new Proton Model are manufactured with high quality materials?

That's what I was thinking. I'm surprised that Toyota and Mazda actually outsourced their body production to Proton. Even perodua is using proton-manufactured body haha....

from a proton typical mind set, either proton quality go up or everyone's going down lol.

But I do feel proton exterior quality has improved by leaps and bounds, especially after year 2000
*
I felt the quality improved after 2005 when they started Satria Neo at 2006 that's when I feel the quality went up.

Luckily the shop all too far from me...so im safe tongue.gif. for now.

But turning at high speed...wah...can't forget that sensation when i test drive the car...
*
Inspira handling is kinda wobbly for me and the body rolls when I turn at high speed. You should add UR Strut Bar and Spring buffer if you encounter the same Problem like I do =D. Its no fun when a car that you drive can run but its dangerous to drive right? =D

During my test drive, I braked slightly and turned full (at around 90km/h) to do the 8 turn and I din't feel any significant wobble. There is a slight roll but nothing compared to my Wira. Maybe my speed was too slow?

Will installing strut bars void the warranty. Do I need to drill holes to fit the bolts in?
*
Strut bars do not need to drill holes >< the holes are there with bolts u just need the bar to get installed. I asked the engineer at my SC he said wont void warranty for strut bar and spring buffer.

Try seeking for nestum in this forum. That guy has an amazing collection of rims available and offers really good price.

here
His shop is located at Jln. Ipoh if im not mistaken. I'm still wondering if I should change my rims awww. Worried that switching to slim tyres will spoil the comfort of my car.
*
Hey Thanks for the link between do you know how much does he take in less den 2k mileage of our stock rims ???

Ok, I'll reconfirm this when I send my car for the first 1K servicing then.

I guess its quite hard to get recommendation about penang WS here, since the only owner seems to be ngjx hahaha....

OOo...i thought need to drill bolt holes for the strut bar, if the holes are there then senang la. how much is 1 bar ya?
*
LoL ... depends on which one u r installing, I installed Ultra Racing front Strut Bar for RM 180 + Spring Buffer RM 80 +. When you purchase a lancer 2.0 GT, it comes with a front strut bar but our inspira do not come with a front strut bar + we got very soft suspensions.

Lancer 2.0 GT has harder suspensions and stock front strut bar which most likely to see lancer has better grip. I get the springy and wobbly feel when I drive 120km/h on a straight line and when I turn abit deeper corners at 80km/h (Without braking) it feels like my car's ass is going to hit the wall soon, especially when it just started to turn, the body roll feel is obvious ><. I stopped encountering this problem after installing the strut bar and spring buffer which is quite cheap less den RM 300

so basically the tail is wagging when u turn high speed corner ya?

Ok...I'll ask around WS here to get prices then.

yeap the tail wags especially when you enter the corners. Cutting cars on high speed has also improved =D. Good Luck =D

Say what...???? Have this feature meh...???? Anyone tried this trick...????????  flex.gif  flex.gif

Added on July 24, 2011, 5:50 pm
It have lesser grip than our standard setup, LGT is famous for losing grip and "buang" its tail (tail-happy) when taking high speed corners.... this is due to the harder and stiffer suspension setup and the 18in rims, which "lifts" one wheel a bit during high speed corners and thus making it losing grip.... but this also makes the car more stable and less body roll...

Inspira suspension setup is softer and thus you experience more body roll and dips from the car, but with the softer CC5 tyres, Inspira actually rides softer and more grippier than LGT...

So its body flex and roll that you are experiencing as Inspira have better road grip....

But in other words, your car with struts and rubber now could be more tail-happy than stock standard... so be more careful when pushing the car...

FACT: I have never "buang" my tail before the rubbers, but threw it a few times after install...!!!  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

OOO >< well atleast after adding the strut bar and spring buffer no problem dy XDXD.
