QUOTE(skysaw @ Jan 12 2012, 10:21 AM) i want to knw the answer also If you want to avoid any potential problems with the service centre, you can always backup your stuff then flash back to a Malaysian stock firmware, which will then be clean and unrooted, before sending to the centre.

QUOTE(writeprotect @ Jan 16 2012, 10:52 PM) hi is it true that this GTab cant be upgrade his android version directly by phone? so need to use kies? Are you referring to OTA update? As far as I know, no. For stock firmware, you need either Kies (the 'samsung' way) or flash via the Odin tool.

QUOTE(aztoiozalan @ Feb 21 2012, 03:52 PM) hmm ok will try thnx, anyways, is it better or must have external memory card to store all downloaded apps into the memory card n nt filling up the internal memory 16gb cuz i yet to buy a external memory n ive noticed my tab lagss n hangs once in a while after donloading many apps I think you can move some apps to the internal SD storage but I don't think apps can be moved to the external memory card. Usually I leave about 500MB free on my internal device memory - I use app2sd to move some apps to the internal SD storage. Note : I currently have 499MB free in 'device memory', 2.96GB free in 'usb storage' and 2.44GB free in my 16GB external microSD. My Tab doesn't lag or hang.

QUOTE(walkmanphone @ Mar 11 2012, 01:43 AM) Any issues found on this ICS 4.0.3? Thanks It's quite nice, but there was one thing I couldn't stand - MKV playback sucked for me, with MX Player. Could be due to the fact that I loaded the CM9-based ICS ROM I downloaded from this XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385153Not sure if there is another ICS ROM with good MKV playback, perhaps the AOKP one, hmm.. Going back to Overcome ROM, ha..

Bro khalpowers, I wish to thank you! Your ICS ROM rocks - 720p MKV playback is smooth in MX Player as long as I choose S/W Audio. I can live with this ha ha..

QUOTE(HughieRmX @ Jun 9 2012, 07:28 PM) I can't find any new firmware updates using the Samsung KIES .. anyone can suggest me something to start off with ? Don't use Kies. If you want to stick to a Samsung ROM (i.e. not custom ROM) then you can find an Android 2.3.6 firmware for the P1000 on sammobile site and flash it using the ODIN tool - backup first, though.
