I also been in your situation before... currently I'm using the method below:
1) Go Settings > Applications > Development > check USB debugging (only need to do it once)
2) Now, just plug in your USB, pull down the notification window, and tap on "USB connected" > Connect USB Storage and wala!

It has good and bad

the good:
1) it offers best security sense as in you'll know your phone will be ok even it drop to the floor, the phone will not fly out of the casing during impact.
2) volumn button and power button all sealed but very easy to press, even easier than without the casing
3) soft inner casing and hard outer shell = perfect combo

the bad:
one word.... THICK

is it true that the maximum file size in our android phone (internal or external microsd) is 4gb?

i believe the microsd card is fat32 file system also... which has same issue...

yesterday tried to copy my 10gb 1080p in... but failed

yalor.. i also want to copy those files to friend on the phone (use it as thumb drive lol) but too bad..

only way is to split them into small pieces, then ask your friend join back themselves lor maybe use hjsplit to easily split and join the files in one click lol self promote a bit

wah previously i thought robo player cannot play, but turns out it can! starting to like robo player edi it plays most of my videos smoother than rockplayer, some more it is FREE! The controls also more user friendly..

one more question: how do we set file associates? like i want to set .rmvb to be automatically opened by moboplayer.. is it possible? because when i tap on the rmvb file in the default file manager, it says "No applications can perform this action"

eh, this is wrong le. If you have phone package you can send/receive sms for sure. No need data plan. Unless you already treat whatsapp = sms

ya use third party file explorer like ES file explorer, can set file associate though

mine neutral enough gua..

lol, most of the time the phone in idle state so no on the display lor... hence the display not at the top....

also the slight raise in the middle there is because i plug in the usb cable to copy some video from my pc... lol
