QUOTE(hongrui @ Feb 22 2013, 11:10 AM) IMO the ODAC would be miles ahead of the E10. Schiit modi or odac Any recommendations for a DAC for RM600 for desktop use? Using a MS1i and a a500x! Gonna get the Bravo v2 tube amp, but thinkin of a nicer DAC than my e10. Currently im plugging speakers into the e10 DAC and my headphones into the AMP but with the bravo v2 it will be connected to the DAC so is it ok to put my logitech z523 into the amp slot?

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Apr 20 2013, 06:31 PM) so you will need to state the need for a phone compatible DAC, presume the Galaxy Right my bad. I'm deciding between the e07k or get a color fly c3. Counter heavy bass with a player or an amp which has good mids This post has been edited by siles1991: Apr 20 2013, 07:14 PM

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Apr 20 2013, 10:31 PM) of course was wondering if you had the otg cable that can connect the e07k to the S3 and use both the DAC and AMP part of the e07k? Because im not sure if mine still works. My bravo amp just died on me...looking for one below RM300 atm I want something that would go well with an ATH-AD900X, currently have the ODAC and was thinking of getting 2nd hand O2Amp but read it lacks bass impact.

QUOTE(Leolabs @ May 9 2013, 03:30 PM) No wonder...... Why don't u refer to those forumers already using the O2??? i usually get my reviews from there hahaha I'm looking for a tube amp to pair with my AD900X and was wondering if I could have some suggestions? My budget would be between RM500-1000+ Currently using the Bravo v2(modded) and would like to see other options. What i'm looking for is better instrument separation and smooth and lush mids with a slight kick for the bass.

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ May 15 2013, 09:56 PM) you will need to try the ALO Pan Am it's an amp/dac was hoping to find something more in standalone amp so don't have to waste my ODAC hahaa Sadly that's the most I'm willing to spend since I'm planning to get an ad1000x Was thinking either a little dot mkii or mkiii

QUOTE(Pewufod @ May 16 2013, 01:28 AM) i suggest you to keep ur ad900x, try not to make small leaps into ad1000x instead get end game amp like this one http://www.head-fi.org/t/662233/fs-yamamoto-ha-02-220v read that ad1000x has a different design im actually looking for my end-game headphone and im not willing to go any higher since i've tried the hd650 and the T1 and the shure flagship all I didn't really like more than my AD900X honestly. From what i've read AD2000X only has different materials and AD1000X is a better buy for its price.

QUOTE(faezfahmi618 @ May 19 2013, 11:11 AM) i got sennheiser hd439 and connected it to my laptop but why my volume is not loud even in 100% volume? That shouldn't happen since its impedance is only 32ohms try reinstalling your audio drivers or maybe check the file your using. If all else fails get a DAC/amp never get just an amp get it together with a DAC to get full enjoyment. Basic DAC can get ud100 from cychong rm100++. Maybe if you have low budget can try cmoybb or if you have a bit more budget the o2amp if you want tube amp bravo v2 or the bravo ocean and little dot mki will be nice.

QUOTE(faezfahmi618 @ May 20 2013, 05:48 AM) for budget below rm400 which one i should get for dekstop purpose? i think i wanna increase my bass volume since my bass sound is kind too bright for me, no syok to watch movies if bass is too bright i already reinstall my audio drivers but it same nothing change, the sound still not loud which DAC/amp do u suggest for me below rm400? If want DAC/AMP setup than ibasso d-zero, hippo cricri, fiio e07k, fiio e10. I'd suggest get the Fiio E10 and i've personally used it and it's a really good DAC/AMP its around RM290 so leaves you enough money to save up for next level upgrade. It has a bass boost switch and also has a Hi and Lo gain switch incase your headphones aren't loud enough. The Fiio E10 is touted as one of the better/best entry level DAC/AMP's and you won't regret getting one.

QUOTE(wim1983 @ Jun 13 2013, 04:24 PM) No, you misunderstand, there is no way that I dunno what a DAC is, it simply a device to convert digital to analog (hearable signal into headphones). Exactly, that's why DAC have great potential to be money sucker, and here we into it DAC and Amps are not money suckers lol. But if your skeptic than fine if you said pc signal = 100% clean whats the use? its only digital data nothing more, if you convert digital data into analog you think there's not going to be any loss if you use cheap components? When comparing Fiio E10 blind tested with 10 of my friends each of them could distinguish between PC on board and the fiio e10. Sure better headphone is good, but some people don't want change their headphone and want to get a little extra from their headphone. That's what DAC's and AMP's are for. Comparing my ODAC and Fiio E10 obvious difference in clarity. if you dont want spend money on it fine...one man's junk is another man's treasure what may seem like money sucker to you is same value to them as your treasured stuff that people may call waste of money also.

QUOTE(wim1983 @ Jun 13 2013, 04:39 PM) You got ODAC and Fiio E10, oh great, can tell which one you prefer? ODAC definitely beats E10 in DAC section. So much clearer. But if you want an all in one solution E10 is really great. I prefer if over a lot of DAC/AMP in its price range and higher.

QUOTE(dennisyeoh @ Jun 13 2013, 04:40 PM) the are lots of dac/amp combo you can buy with 1k and so far i see that i can spend 1k on is on the schiit modi and magni search about them trust me is worth a look i,m looking for people with magni and modi i wanna try em out haha QUOTE(wim1983 @ Jun 13 2013, 04:46 PM) hmm, got one quesiton, can I use those all in one DAC + AMP on speakers, e.g. a Swans M200MKII, what I mean is it possible to bypass the amp? you cant bypass speaker amp unless you mess with the circuitry inside. so you'd usually only use DAC for speakers which im doing now. PC>ODAC>Splitter> A.Little Dot Amp >AD900x B.Swans M50w
