better buy a shimano caenan or shimano bass one or abu silvermax or promax... daiwa low end version doesn't seems to be any special... maybe if u juz wanna get a try in BC, then juz get a Banax big shoot (around rm120 in kl)... abu vengeance, surecatch surebite II, lemax, eupro n okuma rods r all around rm100... my fren juz landed a 86cm wild toman with shimano caenan and eupro salty fighter rod... juz dunno how long will these plastic frame reels will last... seen a few tweaked oredi... wan solid feeling? then get alloy frame eg. abu orra or revo or shimano citica... dunno which daiwa with alloy fall into rm500 category... hope my 0.02 might help...

btw, juz went air kuning at perak (uncle benny) and jurassic at rawang last week... i'm from sabah, kota kinabalu...

how bout Fenwick Eagle GT 4-12 5'6" 1pc BC rod??? it cost less than rm200 n good enough for anything 3 to 7 grams lure... match it with stren microfuse or sufix 832 or new power pro 6 to 10lb braided line...
