lemax cheap but trustable, fuji rings are better with braided lines, rods depends on your spool, heavy spool - ligh rod vice versa.
Added on August 4, 2011, 3:08 pmIts not everytime you go deepsea fishing u will come back with alot of catches, if you do, keep the ones you can keep, the rest either u sell or u give it away, since i consider it a hobby and also its expensive to spend on deep sea, if theres alot of catch i will sell them RM2 cheaper then thier market price and sure people will buy from the condition of the fish caught are shiny and still smiling
yeah bro, going with 1 or 2 frens would be the best plus for first time at sea sure need someone teach bit. Perhaps your best bet is to find someone here that would be able to organise one. I myself haven't been to the deep ones.. just beside pulau only for me. Decent in numbers but not size, 3 of us went out with a small boat RM50 per person. Came back with around 20 or more fish, mostly kerisi, bulat, kerapu and pisang. Mostly caught using appolo style. Boatman was bit inexperienced but did get us to couple of good places while moving around in the boat.
like max said, no need expect it to be super nice. It's more like a sampan just bigger and at least got motor lah haha
to be decent, if they bring around 8-12 ppl per trip, those boat are much better usually may provide food, place to sleep & bathroom. Prolly target those wooden boat ones may be cheaper than fiber i think.
I still yet to get into one of these! arghhh

Bah, I always dreamed of going to the sea to fish. But I don't have any friends or family members so sporting to go with me. The most they can is just to go pay ponds, that's why, Shoot@M3, I don't have the need to keep a jigging/popping rod yet.
Say, anyone has got any fishing trips to plan in the future in west Malaysia?
Max, u mean RM180 for that 3-4 person?

Well, you can easily fish at Port Klang waters by renting boats.
A 3-4 person boat costs about RM180 from 9am til 5pm. Petrol included but dont expect the boat to be super awesome.
I guess we have the same rate here bro
