QUOTE(daddyVW @ Jul 10 2012, 11:57 AM) braided 5lb? interesting! i was browsing through videos from my phone, then suddenly stumbled on a video i captured last time. my friend fighting 7kg patin on a 5lb rod. suddenly also wanna invest ultra light! when wanna go fishing daddy! faster organize!Added on July 10, 2012, 12:01 pm QUOTE(wetwetwater @ Jul 10 2012, 11:58 AM) Fookie, whoops. thats why i said im not sure Dont mistaken, Seahawk is by TCE Sports. I think they are different from TCE Tackles. The one by the Federal Highway is Sea Tackle. They carry Ryobi. Different company all together. Cheers! QUOTE(1dollar @ Jul 10 2012, 06:57 PM) holy shit. the way they handle the fish is abit rough right? i've seen other ponds restock fish, they simply slide down the fish on a plastic like cloth into the pond from the lorry. in a way less damage will be done to the fish. |

QUOTE(rorytate @ Jul 19 2012, 09:42 AM) Bro Ein, Hopefully can make it to this jigging trip.Seems to me all is allright with your setting. Possible that it is due to the mono vanish that you were using? Yeap, am located at KL. PM me Added on July 19, 2012, 9:57 amGot a fishing trip coming up. It's a light jigging of 20M water near One Phantom Bank North. Known to have plenty of Barracudas, Queenfish and Spanish Mackerel. Water depth: 40ft ~60ft (shallow) Jig weight: 40~60gram Action: Popping, casting and jigging Cost: RM135 per pax. Max out at 7pax. This is what i propose. Since it's only shallow water, thus need not extreme size reel or extreme rods. It would not be tiring too, cos casting with jigs or lure, it's just light weight. Perhaps i should call this Feather Jigging.. LOL Rod: 8~17lb Reel: Any size reel that can contain 100m of 30lb Line: 25~30lb braid As for jig, swivel, split rings, solid rings, 7lam of leader per rod will be all kawtim by me. No need to big any jig or terminal tackle, just use mine. If lost, so be it In this case, anglers just need to bring rod, reel and line only OFBN Feather Jig Date: TBA - Tentatively Sept Venue: OFBN Boat: 50+ feet (it's not a fast boat, will take 3 hours to OFBN, however it's damn spacious) 1. RoryTate 2. Chun 3. Fookie 4. 5. 6. 7. This post has been edited by fookie: Jul 19 2012, 10:24 AM |

guys, if lets say hook sangkut, then u die die pull in, if putus in leader means leader not good? if putus at main line means main line not good? say your main line is 15lb and your leader is 25lb. no abrasion on rocks or anything. everytime my bottom setup sangkut right will putus in the leader area. which im quite grateful as i dont lose my main line. just lose leader + hook + weight only.

another thing. what is the optimal poundage for main line and leaders? and also whats the optimal length of the leader? i've seen people using 2 to 3 metres leader and some uses like 30cm leader. normally i'll just go with about 1metre.

QUOTE(daddyVW @ Jul 20 2012, 12:26 PM) no exactly one optimal poundage for main line and leader... its depend on your game maa... of course you can use one setup for all fishing game but you won't maximized the syiokness... normally i use 20lb and 30lb mainline. i've seen jokers use 15lb and 45lb main line. crazy bugger. |
