btw I need to ask on chest exercise. do i need to lift heavier or more reps?

I did bench press at home but due to limited weight i can only do more reps instead of more reps, like up to 20 reps per set, and its not really showing progress....
with limited weights, you could;

1) Add in plyo pushups in between sets.

2) or warm up with kinetic stretches for chest before benching. It helps to activate the smaller muscle fibres.

3) or you could do 1 set of maybe 20-40 reps bench-dips/diamond pushups first before you start benching. Wear out your triceps so you could engage more chest.

4) play with tempo. vary it. try 8-1-2-1, or 5-0-5-2, or just be creative! (eccentric-stretched-concentric-contracted)

just my two cents.

do u all think it is same like bent over rows?

I usually put plates on the foot pedal to elevate myself up. Maybe u could do the same so that u would be resting more on your abs instead?

There are some fat fools in my gym who overdid this permabulking thing too far and walk around with a belly, no.cuts and with an.exaggerated lat spread syndrome. I think they might be denial that they're just fat and think they're big. Lol funny shit. You guys seen stuff like that at your gyms?
*
Got ah? I dun remember seeing though tongue.gif

Plenty.  laugh.gif

Even funnier when I see the skinny guys walking around with their arms out, flexing their non-existent lats.  blush.gif

more annoying is that you're friends with them, and they take off their top, flex their non existent physique in the mirror, post it on facebook with the caption, need to lose some fats, big biceps but chest lagging.

lol, i could never always get why one would curl for so long... though I would even dislike it when they curl on the squat rack or bench press area
*
worst of all is no respect for personal space and safety. I was teaching a friend how to squat with a light barbell and one idiot just stood next to my friend squating and started curling like 30cm away and another idiot stood behind and also doing curls. semua kena marah.

A word of caution:

Dear Jaya33 TrueFitness members, DO NOT bother asking for help from the PTs to SPOT for u if u are lifting heavy.

I wanted to complete my last set of 160lbs squat & couldn't find any familiar face, so I asked this PT to help. He looked ok in terms of body & build so thought it should be safe la.

instead of SPOTTING, he clamped down so hard on my sides & ribs, he did not allow me to squat all the way down & lifted me up from my ribs with the weights instead. I told the fella he's clamping down on me too hard on me and helping toomuch, he cut me of shouting "go! go! go!"

wtf? playing counter strike ka?

not only did he spoil my last squat set, he spoiled my whole workout! now my ribs hurt like hell, it feels like he ruptured something inside! I have to cut short my workout because I hv difficulty breathing from the pain!
