i think XXJVQ have the best battery life among all. you can try all custom rom based on XXJVQ. (or stock if you like original feel)

no, you can flash any rom with that guide except DXJV9(have to flash modem again).

should be no problem what i am using wpa2 too. which rom and kernel are you on now? if can't then change your phone wifi settings and put your ip address, dns, default gateway and netmask manually. or go into your router settings and added the phone's MAC number.

i got no problem with wpa2. even manually key in those ip adress, dns, mask?if really cant try flash a kernel if still cant have to factory rest your phone which worked for others.

my house wifi using WEP, my connectify using WPA2, went my friends hostel(direct to modem) which using WPA2, i got no problem too. so i think should be no problem want.
manual IP ,
go to wi-fi settings > advanced >IP settings >use static IP and then try to fill all. Choose an ip adres like 192.168.1.x (x=any number you like between 30 and 250)
u can see this on your PC->network and sharing centre->view status-> details
IPv4 adress= ip adress
IPv4 Default Gateway: gateway
IPv4 Subnet Mask =netmask
IPv4 DNS Servers = dns1 and dns2 (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)


ADD-ON: or you can use ALL SHARE(samsung apps) to connect.
