You can order it online and DIY but I recommend you go Samsung Service Centre to fix it. Alternative is LowYat Plaza. Will cost you a bomb!! Around RM600 I guess.

1. still on juwe's. v5.1 on JVQ. why people talking about JVP when JVQ is available.
2. not prefer CM7 nor MIUI. why copy iphone interface when you have android?
3. phone.apk fix for JVQ is available here. install .zip in recovery. no more fc.
4. mod skype available here. now can use front cam (sorry if old news. only read 3-4 pages back). haven't try using the front cam though.
5. flash kernel .zip or .tar using SGS kernel flash. available in market.

Mind u that MIUI is not all about the interface. Its a better rom with so many add-ons. What i love about MIUI is that it has backup built-in, aside from the whole interface-makeover. U have to try it once before judging them. But i myself prefer CM7 over MIUI simply because its much more stable and faster(lag is a thing of a past) . It still does have the same interface as any samsung rom though. Only thing that samsung rom better than CM7/MIUI is on the battery life. Since i charge my phone daily, its no big deal.

back then updates are provided quickly and new roms are being cooked as quick whenever a new base is out. now that Doc has left SGS kitchen, dunno wad happened to the crew. they are not as competent.

I'm using doc kitchen, cook my jvp beta from there..so far stable combine with speedmod kernel.

m still using doc rom

1. jvq seem to have lot problem then jvp
2. cm7 dont have iphone interface
4. front camera can be use but u need to rotate ur phone 180 degree to have normal view. not sure if there any fix for this

do u really know speedmode? afaik speedmode doesnt have oc/uc capability

anyone can help me , my phone stuck at the galaxy s screen
tried flashing the stock firmware to it twice le.
after done flashing it say fail to mount the data in screen then i pressed reboot then it stuck at the galaxy s screen.
