Best way to indebt malaysian is to inflate house prices. There has been good empirical studies on household debts and house prices. Bank Negara, Wake up, time to introduce more measures! i won't mind policy error that lead to property crash, at least it won't burden generations to come... don't get me wrong, i own more than 7 properties but i still think prices are crazy now.

i salute u thumbup.gif
own more than 7 properties and point out that property price is crazy now

unlike a lot of ppl here
keep trying to create the hype despite knowing that there is something wrong with the price now

thx alot...

ps: i do not own 7 properties
but i do own few
and i believe the price is crazy now
especially those DBIS projects
and 6k get $800k loan...

Cash is king.. coming out from a economic advisor.... you know the story about the bowl of curry mee 20 years back compared to now right? You now the value of a mansion 3 decades ago compared to now right?

I am really doubtful on you. Which bank or financial institute you are serving for now?
*
he / she said "In an asset price deflationary environment,"
why u compare 20 years back to now?
he / she did not say that the whole period of 20 years to now was deflationary environment.

dont simply judge others
we are all equal
you have different opinion does not mean you are better than him / her.

i presume u r indeed looking for a bargain and not showing off
however i think this tread "Are property prices going to up further?" may not be the right place for the purpose.
maybe you will get better response in other Lowyat forum tread

Don't forget, US still own the highest gold reserve.

You want to play with US? They can also dump gold any time when bubble at the peak.  icon_idea.gif

If I am a nation, I'll buy energy ie crude oil etc. I'll buy useful commodities where you can keep long long time like copper as reserve.

What is the value of gold if you cannot travel without fuel, power industry cannot develop without copper?

Oh ya, use gold to replace copper!   laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

do u know that gold is a better conductor than copper?
the wires in IC chips are gold, electronics...
some migrating to copper because copper is cheaper
if not they will continue use gold...

gold is not entirely useless...

RPGT is not a big deal.....the worst case, investors sell their propoerty with little margin, which also not contribute much to RPGT takers. eays earn 50k net, 30% gone to RPGT takers. still gor 35k net earning. okie what. or without any net earning, then no need to pay rpgt lo...not a big deals.

Property market is slow down only if there got other altenatives for good investments in the market. still let say two years/3years property can give you 50K, it is a good bet too. or 1 year 5% -10% appreciation still acceptable compared to other investment options.

In this world, there are those that like to bully and there are also those that like to be bullied.

When the RICH claiming that they are not making enough profit due to the increase of the building materials, the POOR will justify for the RICH. This is because the RICH is the elite group that give GOOD REASON and publishes it on the newspaper that it gains the favour of the POOR. So the POOR indirectly blesses the increase and in the same time lament that the house price is not affordable to them(However, they still think that increase of house price due to increase of building material cost is justifiable). This is but one example.

One day, when things get really serious they go to the street and protest without knowing that there are simply too much things that are not justifiable and they are being fooled due to repeated proclamation by so called "PRO" in the field that certain things are correct according to their professional view while some just provide misleading statement without proper explanation.

haaaaaaahaha

imagine u r an agent and selling a condo unit
ur seller says he want to sell his unit for at least $350k

but when u check iproperty,
u saw other agents put price as low as $300k for other units

so u put $350k in ur advertisement?
u wont get much call

of course to attract more calls
u need to put at least on par with other agents which is $300k
this is to attract calls
then when ppl call, only u say:
sorry that one sold liao
very laku laa
i hv another one selling $350k
u interested?
