I see, didn't know that. I was doing Dec 2010 Q1 - Shoal plc. 40% market share, i analysed as low. But the examiner said it is high....all the time i thought high means > 50%

Thank you for the clarification. Hope tha marker is not that fussy...

I gave up on linear regression, correlation & coefficient because i could not comprehend.

I revised time series & exponential smoothing by doing PP11 Cool Freeze.

Hope none of these appear though : (

How to do all these under time constraint? Marks for all these are very unrewarding for P3. The BEST is ask all straight forward questions... PESTEL, Porter's 5 Forces, Ansoff, Harmon's.....

Examiner, i beg you, don't slaughter us please icon_question.gif

Really ah? I think my lecturer did not cover these. : ( I wrote all my own points, only got about 4 points, never follow this framework because never heard before. : (

part a of Q3 was ok for me because i studied that but part b of Q3 was bad for me, i anyhow write, about 6 points for that 12 marks, just to make sure i covered half of the marks alloted. I was faced with serious time constraints, i don't know why time just slipped so quickly... : (

Q1a really took too much time. I only managed to finish internal analysis then realised over run. I did my external analysis only after I finished with Q3 which left 10 mins.

I really really hate myself for being so slow.

Now i can only pray for mercy.

For Harmon's matrix, there are 3 processes. So 4 marks for each process. i worte 3 points for each process. Don't care already, 3 out of 4 points good enough. No time left because over killed for Q1a.

Q1a really took too much time.

That cultural web also, i got problem trying to match. So i wrote the heading for each element, then i picked here and there, whacked in, at least the marker should give some sympathy mark for the heading, i hope so.

By the way, that project part b, what is it about? Problems part...is it to write about not having a business case and all? I did not read the case properly because I was too nervous. I roughly scanned thru only. Die...think about it , shivering now.

Yes, i think it is useful. I used Kaplan. Q2 of the Revision kit (Worldwide Mineral) appeared quite similarly in June 2011 case study. I did about 15 questions from that revision kit.

I did not touch or read Dec07 to Dec10 Past Year Papers because i did not know where to get them at that time (I stopped doing my ACCA for a long long time, it was only Jan11 then i picked it up again and the first paper i took was P1).

My lecturer for P1 in Jan-May11 did not tell us where to get Past Year Papers, i also gundo, did not have any friends to tell me what to do. We were then given Dec07 to Jun11 Past Year Papers for P3 this July to Nov11 (great P3 lecturer).

And then only in July then i realised that there are so much resources at ACCA website.

I managed to get 56marks for my P1 by doing those 15 questions from Kaplan revision kit.

Don't worry. still have time. Although it is better to do than to audit. But now what you can do is to go "audit" those case study questions and answers. Get whatever marks you can grab tomorrow. Remember, every mark counts. That's how i passed. Good luck to you.

I would argue that S and W consist of financial analysis+resource audit+Porter's VC while O and T consist of PESTEL and Porter's 5 forces.

Don't be scared. P3 examiner is very kind.....i want to believe it !!! Anyway, i keep convincing myself that i deserved to pass thus i am saying all these..... hmm.gif

Don't scare yourself lah. You have finished all your papers, no more papers to do in Jan2012 right? Time to enjoy! I still need to do P2 in Jan 2012, cannot think of P3 anymore, until Feb2012.
