when i revise

i always split it into different parts

like tat it's easier to study

eg. P3 - i just split it to 2 parts

strategic part and supporting part

then mayb afternoon focus on strategic

at night focus on supporting

Hi guys, would like to know your opinions on my situation sad.gif

I'm currently in the first year (and first sem) of my studies in advanced diploma in commerce (financial accounting) in TARC whereby you'll get exemptions for ACCA papers as you pass our internally assessed ACCA exams. In my situation, I'll be taking paper F6 and F7 dis sem, F8 and F9 for the next, followed by P1, P2 and P3, and during my last sem of my studies here will be taking the last 2 optional papers.

So my problem is that I've got problem with the college education system. I hate to go for classes and I felt like some of the subjects, which are meant for advanced diploma studies (those which are non-ACCA papers) is kind of annoying and I don't think I need them in the future anyway.

Hence I plan to self study the rest of the papers after my finals dis sem (since I've paid for the fees and there's only a month to go before the finals so I'm planning to get the exemptions for F6 and F7 provided if I pass).

So my question here is that assuming that I've passed all the 14 papers, will I face any problem in the future to compete for jobs as I've only got a diploma cert as compared to my friends with advanced diploma or possibly a degree in the UK?

And another question would be, I've heard that without completing all the fundamental papers (F1-F9) I'm not allowed to take any professional papers yet, is that true?

Thank you for reading and please do comment smile.gif

I don't quite understand your situation..Now you're doing a diploma? Or taking F6? What about the previous F5 etc? You can get exemption from f1-9 if you are a degree holder if im not wrong..

Now I'm doing advanced diploma cum ACCA which means both simultaneously at my college. I've got exemption for paper F1-5 upon completion of my diploma studies. So right now in the first sem I'm taking 2 advanced diploma subjects (non-relevant to ACCA) and paper F6 and F7 as well which will be assessed internally and if I do pass, will be able to claim for exemptions for both the papers as well.

certain degrees will grant you exemption for F1-F9 but if you want to get an ACCA cert, you must take the final 5 papers from ACCA

hey im not showing off
im saying it's depends on ur luck

I said it's easier than prior year
but don mean its very easy sweat.gif

I really don't get your reply at all. First of all, you have no intention of answering my post or any of the questions there.
Secondly, in my paper i stated i failed already, then you had to gloat how easy it was for you.

Thats like adding fuel to the fire of my problem only..if you have nothing good to say don't say anything at all.period.

okay maybe my message is not clear to you
but listen to this
some people studied everything and well prepared for whole syllabus
but fail because of the luck and the way the examiner set the questions

it's not their fault and maybe the examiner caught them by surprise
the only thing I can advise is be relax and dun panic in exam
and ur paper should be MCQ right ?unless u asked for non MCQ
MCQ is pretty much based on luck again...cos i think the answers are similar and tricky

and im sry for the unclear reply to you....

MQA does not approve for joining ACCA through FIA (7 papers). Anyone knows consequences if i insisted of taking only 7 papers of FIA and join ACCA afterward?? Would my ACCA qualification be disqualified also?? Can i still get the MIA membership with 3 years working experience if i completed my ACCA through a way that isn't qualified by MQA???
