From the bios,
ur noisy fan is plugged on SYS FAN 2 header, which doesnt support PWM thus u cannot adjust the speed.
U must plug the fan on SYS FAN 1 header (supposedly located near CPU socket) to adjust the fan speed.

PS: 7000rpm! Wow

Normally only the CPU 3-pin connector allows manual speed control. As long as you hook a fan into this connector, you can use the option in your BIOS to control it and it doesn't have to be a PWM fan. A PWM feature is totally something else and is not a requirement in this scenario.

Edit: You can try using Speedfan for this purpose (I haven't been using Speedfan for ages and couldn't test it now since I'm in office) smile.gif

It won't cut the whole finger off but you'll get a good cut and bleed smile.gif 10 years ago I have all these Delta, YS Tech and Sanyo Denki fan which spins like a jet, they are really noisy but if you're not careful, you will hurt yourself.
