From the bios,
ur noisy fan is plugged on SYS FAN 2 header, which doesnt support PWM thus u cannot adjust the speed. U must plug the fan on SYS FAN 1 header (supposedly located near CPU socket) to adjust the fan speed. PS: 7000rpm! Wow |

QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Jun 27 2011, 09:50 AM) i tried to adjust the fanspeed by changing the setting at bios. Normally only the CPU 3-pin connector allows manual speed control. As long as you hook a fan into this connector, you can use the option in your BIOS to control it and it doesn't have to be a PWM fan. A PWM feature is totally something else and is not a requirement in this scenario.but the fan speed still wont change,so noisy. need u guys help,to check whether the setting corrent or not ? Edit: You can try using Speedfan for this purpose (I haven't been using Speedfan for ages and couldn't test it now since I'm in office) http://thecustomizewindows.com/2011/02/con...nd-overheating/ This post has been edited by clawhammer: Jun 27 2011, 01:51 PM |
