Added on June 27, 2011, 9:28 amKK is a tourist destination, not only within Malaysia, but SEA & Asia, especially those HK celebrities and eco-tourists from Europe. The natural resources like Mamutik Island, KK Park, Mt Kinabalu. hot-springs, beaches etc. So, it wouldn't hurt having a few more. There is only 1 mega mall in 1Borneo, the rest like Warisan Square, Karamunsing Complex, KK Times Square are just medium commercial clusters conveniently scattered around KK. This Likas project is not a mall concept.

And the selling proposition is to enrow the ground floor retails with Pubs & Bars, with the seaview to build an expat hang-out. Believe there is currently none of such concentration of entertainment and leisure in KK. The upper retail will be branded boutique stuff, to fet the appetite of the guests of adjoining 5-star Hotel.

Yes, KK prices not cheap anymore especially in recent 2 years. Doing catch-up with Johor and Penang. There's an article write-up in The Edge about the rise of properties in KK. You may get more general view of the current market directions in KK.
