Here is one unofficial drop test.

His camera got pink spot btw.

Here is another famous test using SGS, the phone that people claimed cheap plasticky build.

You can have ZueBug Theme which does not have the fancy CRT and overscroll effect or AOSP Theme. Both have different kind of Battery Indicator. Or just this mod that is not a complete theme but just the status bar mod from here or here.

You may try other themes as long as the developer confirmed it works on Villain ROM but so far most of it having issue with uniformity on color scheme with the app and OS.

or just grab and leave the shop?

if test the screen, how should test it? just *#0*# will do?
please help ...

heard that warranty will never cover for dead pixel?
*
That will do. It will present you with diagnostic test menu to test all the features of the phone.

Funny thou. That was my office wall. Not very apparent actually. I'll try again at home but the most pink is at my living room during afternoon without any source of lights except sun light from windows.

I'try again with different condition. Anyway, it took me couple of LCD screens to confirm the spot.

How about this photo? If you can't see it, distance yourself from the LCD about 1 feet.

Same. No music hub. Isn't that they are Music icon?  tongue.gif
*
Music Hub was removed from official SME set. Anyway, it is useless even for us whose having the UK set.

aiyoh, like that cannot la... i need the camera function (the photos) to be 'perfect'... aiyoh...

Just find the correct angle and light source, you won't get the pink spot. Here, I attached an indoor and outdoor photo taken from SGS2

Actually I'm one of the 1st phase user.. they charge me around RM99 for that... that time i'm using normal phone.. so i downgrade it...
now kinda regret it.. sigh..
*
I've been a "loyal" Maxis GPRS service since 2004. That time it was at RM120 per month now its only RM99. The Maxis staffs advised me to hold this package as they did not offered it anymore if I decided to terminate.

Unlimited and Multi-Sim made me stick with Maxis, if these two are no longer offered. I will definitely switch to Yellow telco.

I've 3 active numbers (Family Plan) with 5 sim cards and 2 unlimited 3G (link to 4 sim cards) and my bill on average is RM400 monthly.

3G Watchdog PRO has that feature (at least it's got per app data usage stats), and is MUCH better then the free app, trust me. I use it because of the live notification icon, which frees my desktop from needing more widget.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd my battery life is quickly going down the drain, 5 hours of NORMAL usage. Not even SEMI heavy. Something's just awfully wrong here guys.

Sigh.

Time to reflash ROMs eh. Gonna try Villain Full next.
*
Maybe u can try cpuspy app. See whether ur phone can enter deep sleep (this is the reason why we have lag when waking up the phone to conserve the battery). I've this issue when certain app prevent the phone to deep sleep.

Pardon me for asking, what is sleep mode and how does it work? Is it the same as idle mode when the screen goes off and the screen locks?
*
Deep Sleep runs automatically by the kernel and on battery only. If connected to charger, the kernel won't trigger deep sleep mode (the CPU will throttle down to 200MHz). When activated, the kernel will reduce the CPU frequency like notebook standby and will wake the phone when any services require an update in order to save battery.

Drawback, it introduce the wake up lag to the phone. If your phone instantly wakes up on battery, it means there is an active app running in the foreground (normally apps which requires constant network access) or a nasty app did not suspend or kill by the OS.
