Try it with a different sd card or sim. |

It's not a necessity unless you feel A2SD+ storage not enough for you or you prefer installing apps on internal. Guys, i just flashed to miui au but for some reason my apps like setdns and setcpu can't seem to detect root access. Any ideas?

Using any one of them would be fine. 2nd question i don't really get what you're asking. Basically the recovery is used to wipe everything before flashing a new rom. You're already perma rooted after using unrevoked but with s-off you have total control over your phone. Eg can flash different hboots . Hope this helped |

You don't really have to back up the stock rom though, if you wanted to go back to stock can always download the ruu and flash it. Or just choose a custom rom that's as close to stock as possible. I've seen one or two roms which claim to be stock cept for a few apps they've removed. Before flashing a new rom though you can install mybackup pro or titanium backup to backup your apps and smses . Then once on your new rom just restore. Don't have to dl everything again. |
